Belgian Waffles

I agree with most of the reviews...this is a great recipe. But wanted to add a note that these waffles FREEZE better than any other recipe I have tried! They do not shrink or shrivel or get that baking powder taste after freezing and reheating. We just pop the frozen squares in the toaster oven and we are off! Today it is HOT outside and it is so nice to know I have a freezer full of waffles and I do not have to cook dinner. THANK YOU!

Essanaye's Pizza Sauce

I quadrupled this recipe and then froze it in 1/2 cup portions in small bags. Perfect, I now have sauce in my freezer that I can pull and make a quick pizza or use it for an appetizer dip (thaw the bad in very warm water). Best one I have tried...not bothering with any others. I couldn't help myself, I had to saute the garlic and peppers in the oil for 2 minutes before I added the rest of the ingredients. Maybe next I will try the fennel seed like others suggested.

Beer Braised Irish Stew and Colcannon

Excellent! Excellent...I sauted the cabbage in the bacon pan and cooked the stew in the crock pot; but other than that, followed the recipe to a tee. this will be done again and again.

Creamy Summer Squash Soup

Not only is this a great soup, I have found another good use for this recipe! Use it in a casserole instead of cream of mushroom/celery/ chicken soup. It makes a wonderful base for casserole dishes and you are using less sodium and chemicals from the canned soup stuff! I used it in a rice/chicken casserole bake and it was so much more flavorful than using canned soup.

Amy's Cilantro Cream Sauce

Wow, thank you Amy for allowing me to top my sister's appetizers on Christmas Eve! This was great. I thought the celery salt was overpowering but it mellowed overnight so I wouldn't change it. But for my taste, definitely more lime! Made it a second time and added a half a tub of sour cream to thin it out and used it for rice/bean bowls. Great sauce.
