About this Cook
I am a PROUD ARMY WIFE and love every moment of it. I have two wonderful boys ages 3 & 11 and they are a handful. I also have an 18 yr old from a prior relationship. All boys so I'm the only girl in my home which makes me the automatic cook. Getting up there in age but I would love a daughter of my own so we'll see. I'm a nurse by profession but right now I have a bigger job as a stay at home mom. I'm working on a book so that all keeps me busy. But this is my life & I love it.
My favorite things to cook
My husband is part Syrian and my son & I stumbled onto a recipe for Syrian cookies which has now become my specialty. I love to make them & now they are the cookie of choice for me to bake & take for others. We love them. At any rate I simply love baking whether it's desserts or the entree. I figure you can't go wrong with something you barely have to attend to.
My cooking tragedies
Finally found an absolute wonderful Peanut Butter Cookie recipe & made it with a friend and they were DELICIOUS. Well I went on & on about how good they were & finally convinced my husband to try one (He hates peanut butter cookies) so I whipped up a batch for him & when the big moment came for him to try it he looked at me like I was a lunatic. Somehow I managed to not only leave out the sugar but I read the directions wrong & used way too much salt so needless to say they were horrible & he hasn't tried a peanut butter cookie since.

Cheese Lover's Tuna Casserole
Hi. Thank you for this yummy recipe. It reminded me of what my dad would make for us when i was younger. My 6 year old son is a VERY PICKY eater and even he liked it alot. I grew up with sweet peas in my tuna casserole so I added one can to the mixture as well as 2 teaspoons of season salt & 1 teaspoon of black pepper just for added flavor. My only drawback was the oven temp of 350° did not seem to be hot enough. After 25 minutes of cooking it was just warm so I turned it up to 375° for 10 more minutes and it was awesome !!
