KOOL-AID PIE

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2010
My aunt makes this recipe. She has always made kid friendly treats and I enjoy this one myself. I like orange for it tastes like an orange cream pop especially in graham crust. Also the lime is good.

Jen's Deer Tenderloin

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2010
I used seasoned tomatoes on this a different time and it still turned out great:) You can change up the veggies to your preference. Tenderloin is just a good healthy meat any way it's prepared.

Potato and Onion Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2009
This soup was awesome...like someone else mentioned I'm not sure what happened to others who attempted this one but it was great for me..I left out the leeks because I didn't have any and threw in a chunk of smoked sausage...I definitely didn't make enough myself, my husband and my 2 yr old devoured all of this.:) Thanks for the recipe! (Potato Soup is one of my favorite soups)

Jan's Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2009
I made this using coffee instead of water and it was awesome. I have made it a few times and every time I make it, I try to let folks try it if there's any left. Have had only great compliments about it.

Southwestern Black Bean Stew

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2009
Wow! This was great! I used a can of tomato soup and a can of italian seasoned tomato (drained) in place of the tomato paste and water. Added a couple of dashes of chili powder. It was great. I also tried this with shredded chicken and a can of green enchilada sauce where I normally used the tomato soup. We added our sour cream afterwards. This was great poured over crumbled up cheesy cornbread. Might I add we ate it about 6 or ate times in just a few weeks.

Sam's Famous Carrot Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2008
This is awesome. I couldn't wait to make icing for it and ate more than a sample out of the cake. This one will be mine. The only things I did different was added some orange juice (a couple oz) to my leftover pineapples to make 8 oz. Used 13 x 9 pan which required less cooking time. about 35 to 45 minutes. used up some small boxes of raisins probably not totaling 1 cup but close and I didn't have walnuts so I used pecans - only a handful (I have small hands). It was great. This will be the carrot cake recipe that I keep. For people who don't like coconut you can't even tell it's there it is such a great blend..yummmmmy..

Old Fashioned Cream Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2008
I made my own graham cracker crust and added some vanilla. This was awesome. Like a custard. It had a hard time getting done in the center. Could have made 2 thinner pies. I let it cool then placed it in the refrig. and it firmed up enough. It was awesome with the graham cracker crust.

Slow Cooker Enchiladas

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2008
I adjusted by cooking with the taco seasoning as directed on pack, had 1/2 can left over cream of mushroom soup instead of the full can, used half salsa and 1/2 pico de gallo (which has jalepenos)used about 3 cups of cheese (1/2 mexican blend 1/2 Quesadilla)with this I figured the amount of beef and cheese mixture by placing the amount I would want on a nacho on each piece of tortilla. I kinda of took the spoon across to blend it together. I also cooked this in the oven on 350 for 40min. in a 13x9 casserole dish. My husband took it to work (minus my test dish)and the guys offered to pay for me to make it again:) I would say this was an awesome easy dish.

This was an easy awesome. Not alot of ingredients. Mine worked fine with an 8oz tub of cool whip. I also used a 2qt. casserole dish lined with oreo's and sprinkled those on the top as well. Excellent!!!
