About this Cook
I married my wonderful husband on July 28, 2007. I am about to graduate from college with a degree in Early Childhood Education and am currently student teaching. We have three dogs who we spoil rotten. I love cooking and baking, I love to try and make at least one new thing a week, sometimes more.
My favorite things to cook
I love making (and eating) fried chicken, *I guess that happends when you marry a man from the South*. I am really good at making Italian food, having a Grandmother from Itally, that is all my Mom made, I do not enjoy eating it anymore, but I am always making it by request.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Italian food- my family can make the best Lasagna and Spaghetii out there! Not to forget about our famalies manicotti. My mother-in-law has been teaching me to cook southern food, especially fried chicken and gravy.

PHILADELPHIA Vanilla Mousse Cheesecake
I baked the cheesecake exactly as the directions said, but I did not have the right pan so I used a normal pie pan. It came out GREAT! My husband was actually glad it was thinner and not as thick- so i am going to keep using the pie pan. i am making this again for a party. it wasn't too sweet, which sometimes cheesecakes can be. i absolutely loved it!!! Winner recipe.

Carrot Cake III
I followed the directions ALMOST exactly. I used less carrots then said simply because I do not like to taste carrot bits when I chew it, but besides that I did as the directions said to. The cake came out great!! It was very moist, did sink a little in the center but the frosting hid it. As for the frosting, it was kind of "runny" I was worried but after frosting the cake, I let it set for an hour before serving. Glad I did because it "harden" up a bit. Tasted great! This is a winner of a recipe!

Banana Banana Bread
It was very easy to make and very moist. I could taste the banana but did not think it was sweet enough. I think I will add more sugar on the suggestion of other users. I am keeping this recipe and will make it again.
