Kathy's Southern Corn Pudding

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2010
This was entirely too sweet. It also HAS to cook for the entire recommended time. It was still too soupy for my liking. I guess my search for the perfect corn casserole continues.

You can also put olive oil, salt, garlic and pepper in a frying pan and brown these babies! After they are done put them in a bowl and toss in a little bit of Fresh shredded parmesean cheese. YUM-O

KELLOGG'S* RICE KRISPIES* Squares with Chocolate Chips

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2008
Super QUICK & EASY!!!... I put the marshmellows and butter in a LARGE OXO mixing bowl and placed in the microwave for 1 minute. Then I stirred the mixture and added the vanilla. Next I added the rice krispies. Then I added a small amount of mini semi sweet chocolate chips. I sprayed the bottom of the 9x13 pan with PAM. Then placed the rice krispy mixture in the pan. Sprinkled more mini chocolate chips on top. Then I sprayed my hands with PAM and pressed the rice krispy mixture down into the pan. Refigerated for an hour. EASY!

Shepherd's Pie VI

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2008
I liked this meal because it was an easy midweek recipe for ground beef. This is how I cooked the dish: Boiled chopped potatoes in a covered dish for 10min. while I was browning the meat. Then I made the mashed potatoes with milk, sour cream, butter, pepper, salt and garlic (all to taste). While making the potatoes I popped in a bunch of cut carrots into the microwave in a covered dish and cooked for 8 min. Then I mashed the carrots up with milk and butter. To the meat I was browning I added garlic powder, salt, ground pepper, onion powder (since I was out of real onions), almost a whole can of beef consume, 2 tbls. ketchup, 2 tbls. flour. Be sure to taste test your beef mixture and see if it needs more salt, pepper, or garlic powder. After the meat mixture was browned I added frozen corn, frozen peas, and a can of green beans. I placed the beef mixture in a caserol dish then spread the mashed carrots on top of that then spread a layer of potatoes on top of the carrot mixutre. Finally topped my dish off with shredded cheese. My husband and I liked the meal for something "different". It wasn't our favorite, but hubby says he wouldn't mind having it again.
