Split Pea Soup with Rosemary

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2008
Did not use bacon added Chicken Sausage flavored with feta and spinach. Lou and Giordi loved. If not thick enough added instant potato flakes. If too thin added milk.

Scalloped Potatoes II

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2008
Made this for Jourdin's birthday, and everyone loved. Takes about 1.5 hours to bake, needed to add a can of evaporated milk as it was a little drid looking even though covered with foil.

Worked really well for the leftover pumpkin for the season. Baked the pumpkin and pulled out the pulp and followed the recipe. Yum, Yum!

Homemade Fresh Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2008
Made this using the pie crust I prefer with bakinf soda in it. This amount of filling is enough for one deep dish pie. Could add additional cinnamon for a spicier taste.

Miracle Baking Powder Pie Crust

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2008
Never fails. Refrigerate about 30 minutes and rolls beautifully. Makes top and bottom crust, or 2 deep dish crusts for bottom only. Egg wash before adding filling to prevent soggy bottom. Keep 1/2 dough not working on in refrig til ready to roll it.

French Bread Rolls to Die For

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2008
This is one of our favorite breads. If you let the dough overproof a little and then bake it becomes like a ciabatta bread. We love this recipe.

Mom's Zucchini Bread

The best recipe ever! This summer I made a double recipe 6 times and froze them. They are fabulous. After greasing pans we dusted with sugar, since they stuck the first time.

Lou and I loved this. We use the extra and blended it into a meat sauce and covered home made manicotti too. Absolutely wonderful.

Fabulous recipe as is! We have made several times and get 2 loaves that we braid into 6 strand Challahs. Gorgeous presentation! Large loaves too. If do as 3 strand braid can get 4 loaves.

Crusty Potato Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2008
We made rolls for sandwiches out of the dough. If the potato flakes have salt in them, omit salt from the recipe, as they were a little salty for us. Very, good recipe, thanks for sharing!

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2008
This was so beautiful, I could not believe I made it. Wow! The family absolutely love it. I did not think the amount of sauce was too small. Based on the reviewd of others I doubled the sauce and ad lots left over. I used it to make a slamming macaroni and cheese the next night. Very, very good roux!

I added mustard, minced green pepper, ground beef, and omitted the maple syrup to the recipe. Very tasty, we served with corn bread for a complete meal. We will definitely be making again.

I was really hesitant about adding so much garlic and the beer. It was so definitely worth it. The flavor is outstanding and it freezes so nicely.

These were so beautiful and they held up very well to juicy hamburgers with all the fixings. So much better than store bought. The second time I made them I used 1/2 whole wheat flour. Another gorgeous winner.
