Chocolate Apple Bread

I thought that this bread had a nice flavor but I thought it was just okay.

I thought that the Apple Walnut Bread was delicious! It was moist and I loved the walnut in it. The only thing that I did different from the recipe was that I did half and half with the applesauce and oil. I used a half cup of oil and half cup of applesauce. Came out great! Thought 1 cup of oil was too much, would have made it oily.

Fresh Peach Cobbler I

I think that this will be a do over in my house. It was delicious!! I took the advice of some other members and doubled the pastry and sprinkled some cinnamon and sugar on the pastry before baking. Mmmmmm!!!!!

Parmesan and Basil Chicken Salad

I followed the recipe, but did add a half cup of white wine like some of the reviewers suggested. I think that this recipe could use some tweeking. I think it could use a little more salt, garlic, and lemon juice. It was okay; I would play with the recipe a bit.

Mom's Best Waffles

I thought that these waffles were good! They will definitely be a do over in my house. They were light and fluffy and with some butter and real maple syrup on them, they were delicious!!!!

Golden Dinner Rolls

I really can't rate these because I never got to bake them. The dough was so sticky that I could not work with it to shape them into rolls. The dough ended up in the trash. Six cups is definitely not enough flour for these rolls! I'm surprised that more reviews didn't mention this.

Grandma's Lemon Meringue Pie

Traditional White Bread

For the first time, I have made bread and it rose to a nice round loaf -- just like the picture! Can't wait to try it, will be having it with some beef stew tonite. Great for a rainy day like today! The only thing about this recipe was that you needed to cover the dough with a damp cloth and let the dough rise for an hour. It did just that; however, the dough stuck to my damp dish towel!!!! I also didn't know why you had to preheat the oven at 425 degrees when you bake it for 30 minutes at 375 degrees??

Ron's Grilled Shrimp

This is a do over in my house. I marinated the shrimp overnite and they were delicious!! This marinade was very tasty with a little bit of heat from the pepper flakes. My family loved it and it will definitely be a do over at my house.
