Fruited Curry Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2009
I'm picky about my chicken salad, but this was amazing! I was grazing on it all weekend long and practically ate the whole recipe myself! It's sweeter (due to all the fruit), which I like, but the nuts add a nice crunch. thanks for a great recipe!

Mediterranean Puff Pastry Chicken

kind of strong tasting, but yummy. definitely roll the puff pastry thinner, or it's alot of dough.

Chicken Tikka Masala

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2009
It's five stars if you follow others' suggestions: I did like many and only did 1/2 tsp of salt each in the marinade and the tomato sauce; I doubled the sauce (allows extra for dipping Naan); and I did almost no cayenne--the meat had enough "heat" without it. VERY close to our local place! thanks for a great recipe!

Easy Pizza Sauce III

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2009
this tasted way too strong of tomato paste. I added the sugar and basil as others suggested, but it was still so strong all we could taste was the paste. If we do this again we'd at least half the paste.

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2009
made this exactly as written the first time and it was 4 stars to me b/c the tomato paste made it really strong flavored. Second time I did half paste half sauce and added about 1.5 cups red wine and it was much better. also would recommend upping the sugar to cut the bitterness. cooking the meatballs in the sauce makes it incredible though!

Autumn Cheesecake

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2008
I followed the advice of others, microwaving the apples for a bit before putting on them on the cheesecake and that worked well. I didn't know what someone meant by doubling the cheesecake part b/c it's runny, so I just doubled the cream cheese and added one more egg and it worked perfectly. My husband is a huge fruit fan and not into cheesecake and he LOVED this recipe! I used Pillsbury's Bordeaux cookies instead of graham crackers and found that give the crust more substance (doesn't get soggy like graham cracker crust can). I also baked in a water bath and that has proven to be the tried and true baking method for the cheesecakes I've made. My husband is begging me to make this for Thanksgiving Dinner!

White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2008
This definitely lived up to everyone's praises in the reviews. Friends said this was the best cheesecake they'd ever had! I too followed the instructions on this site to bake it in a water bath and I have to say I'm on a cheesecake making frenzy b/c it works so well! I didn't follow others advice on the raspberries (blending first then cooking) and wish I had. That was a time consuming pain to try to mash the berries through the sieve w/ a spoon b/c they weren't straining on their own. Will definitely do that next time. I used chocolate chessman cookies for my crust and it was incredible, though I too made more crust than the recipe called for. Will definitely make this one again!

Quick Black Beans and Rice

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2008
I found this recipe bland. I did drain the beans, as my family does not need the added gas! (maybe that's where the flavor went) I also thought it was alot of rice. I cooked my rice ahead so it wouldn't be chewy, as advised by other raters/reviewers
