Sour Cream Apple Pie Deluxe

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2009
Everybody loved this! Even my dad who is not a fan of apple pie. Another guest, who loves apple pie, wanted bigger apple pieces. Guess I'll have to adjust depending on the guest :)

Pretzel Turtles

Make sure you use Rollos or some kind of chocolate covered caramel that doesn't have too much caramel. I'd had these before with the Rollos and they were addictive. With the Reisings the caramel just dominated everything and they were kind of disappointing.

A little to sweet for me but it was all gone by the end of my party!

Party Pinwheels

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2009
I made these for a party recently and everyone loved them. They were a little too salty (and I love salt), but I think that was due to the Hidden Valley Ranch mix that I used. Next time, I'll add a little less of that or try a different ranch mix.

Strawberry Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2009
I made this, exactly as stated, and it came out beautifully. My family really enjoyed it. I still had some strawberries left, and Sunday Funday was over, so I modified it to make it a little healthier. I used: 1 1/2 cups plus 1 tablespoon of all purpose flour 1 1/2 cups plus 1 tablespoon of whole wheat flour 1 cup brown sugar plus 6 packets of Splenda 1 Tbs ground cinnamon 1 tsp salt 1 tsp baking soda 1 1/4 cups unsweetened cinnamon apple sauce 4 egg whites, beaten 1/2 c chopped walnuts I also sprinkled a little Splenda on the strawberries instead of sugar and my loaves took approximately 55 min. It wasn't quite as good as the original recipe, but I still really loved the taste (sans the guilt!)

My family loves these! My only variation s that I put at least two Andes mints on top of each cookie b/c they're so huge. Thanks for the recipe (:

Very yummy, quick, easy and healthy! I used less cheese and added a squeeze of fresh lime juice and some sauteed onions and bell peppers. Everyone loved it!

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2008
I made these last night and they came out PERFECT! I did refrigerate the dough for about an hour first, also made sure eggs were at room temp and turned on convection oven for the last 5 minutes of cooking time (nearly 20 minutes total). Great recipe, thanks for sharing! (Next time I will use a little less sugar as I tend to like cookies a little less sweet than most).

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies III

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2008
My husband is a HUGE peanut butter fan and he's very picky about what kind of peanut butter cookies he likes. I made him these and he LOVED them! The only thing I would change is the amount of sugar and the amount in general of the frosting because they could easily overwhelm the cookie. I barely used half the called amount and it was plenty.

I made this without the corn and it was really good, I just added a little lemon juice to give it more kick.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2008
I made this last night and it came out nearly perfect! I love the way the top crust tastes and the only thing I would change (my own fault, not the recipe) is to cut the apples a little thicker next time. Thanks for the recipe, I can't wait to make it for Thanksgiving (:

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2008
I really liked this recipe! Because of our eating habits, I substituted wheat flour and cut the sugar to 1/2 cup. (I added a little Splenda to boost the sweetness). I also added 1/2 tsp Tahitian vanilla extract, 1/4 tsp cinnamon and 1/2 tsp banana flavor. They came out really good! Next time, I want to try and add walnuts or oats....yum....

I made this with cilantro-lime rice and it was a hit. Even my in-laws liked it. I did spice it up a bit though.
