Bread Machine Rolls

Great, easy recipe! I didn't have any powdered milk on hand so just used 1 cup of milk in place of the water. Also, went ahead and used a whole egg for the wash before baking. Really nice color and shine on the finished rolls. Definitely a recipe I'll keep and use again.

A-Number-1 Banana Cake

I used kefir instead of buttermilk and it turned out just delicious! Also used chocolate chips instead of nuts. Having the first piece right now while it's still warm. It is delicious, and one for the 'keeper' file!

Ranch Dressing II

Yum! Served this tonight on our Cobb Salad, also from Allrecipes. It was the perfect compliment! I quit buying salad dressings this past year. They always taste too 'vinegary' and too salty to me. Making them fresh I can also only make the amount we'll use and not have to toss out any partially used bottles because they taste funny to me. Definitely will keep this recipe!

Taco Seasoning I

Perfect balance of flavors! Will never buy packaged taco seasoning ever again! Easy to adjust the heat, easy to double or quadruple. Mix ahead and store in a sandwich baggie.

Cake Balls

Four stars only because I had to change things a bit: let the cake cool completely before crumbling by hand, only use 12 ounces of the frosting, add a tsp. or two of shortening to chocolate coating when melting to thin to the proper dipping consistency. These are so good that the little bit of time it takes to prepare is worth the extra effort. Like other reviewers, I look forward to trying this with other flavor combinations!

Delicious and ridiculously easy. I plan on trying different flavored chips and add-ins (nuts, coconut, etc) to alter the end product. 'Keeper' for sure!

Delicious!! And fellow cooks, don't alter recipes so that they are so, so different than the original poster's and then give them a negative review! If anything, make the original recipe first...THEN tweak it if you must. Only review recipes that have been prepared as directed!

Apple Crisp II

I've made this twice now and it's been GREAT both times! Plan to make again in the next day or two. Delicious, homey recipe. Be sure and use a mix of BAKING apple varieties. Not all apples are suited for baking. I read some of the negative reviews and can't figure out where they went wrong. For those complaining that the topping is too dry, be sure that you've melted the butter and mixed it thoroughly with the other topping ingredients. Kudos, Diane, on a recipe going in my permanent file!

Awesome Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting

Stellar cake! When I take this to work I have to be sure and take the recipe for people to copy. Delicious combination and never any leftovers. I made the recipe as is, no substitutions. Obviously, the sugar and oil content are high. I certainly don't think anyone eating it considers it a 'health' food. This is a rich recipe meant to be enjoyed very occasionally, and in small servings. Sometimes it's nice to just enjoy the taste of food!!

Burger or Hot Dog Buns

Easy and delicious! We formed our dough into 7 hot dog buns for dinner tonight and made 9 smallish hamburger buns for tomorrow. Much cheaper than buying the 'high-end' products we usually use. Will definitely use this recipe again and again!

Excellent recipe! First had these some 25 years ago in high school when a friend's mom made them. A couple of years later I fell in love with Solvang and bought a pan of my own. I've only made them sporadically over the years but this recipe is a keeper and will get these tasty morsels on our table more often!

Kentucky Banana Pudding

Wow, really yummy and rich! My 19 year old daughter made this for us one night last week. I'm giving 4 stars because I think the bananas would be better if under the pudding. On top they got dark and a little watery by the next morning. But I still ate some for breakfast! We all enjoyed this recipe, it goes in the 'keeper' file!

Southwestern Chicken Salad

My 19 year old daughter made this for us the other night. She wouldn't tell me anything about what it was until it was on the table. We all agreed it was yummy and a recipe to keep. I think that marinating and grilling the chicken would add a lot of flavor. It was good cold and served as a wrap filling, I added a little cheese to mine. Definitely will have her make this one again!
