Lemon Pie Bars

Reviewed: May 3, 2010
These are the BEST lemon bars. Consistency for the filling is perfect with a nice lemon flavor. The crust is awesome and doesn't over power the filling. I've tried a few other reciepes on this site for these bars and although they are good...this one is the best (IMO). Thanks for sharing!

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2010
These were awesome! I didn't and wouldn't change a thing. I cooked for 27 minutes and they came out perfect. I know some reviewers didn't care for the icing but I thought that's what made them so great and I normally don't like frosted brownies. I thought they were just like brownies should be dense and not cake like. Love 'em!!Thanks for sharing!

Mississippi Mud Cake II

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2009
Great recipe. I made this the first time last May for my son's teachers. I didn't try it since it was a gift but they loved it. However, the icing seemed thin with lumps of butter. Apparently I didn't mix it long enough. So when I made it again I let it mix for about 2-3 minutes on medium speed and it turned out perfect. Thanks for the great recipe!

Strawberry Jam

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2009
This was my first time to make jam and it turned out great! I couldn't believe how relatively easy this was. This made 4 1/2 half pint jars for me. I already have requests to make for some friends. Thanks for sharing!!

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2009
I've made this 3 times now and the first time I made exactly as recipe states and it turned out great. The second time the sauce was a little too thick and therefore, it wouldn't pour well through the lattice top. So, I made a couple additions that might be helpful, first I added about a tablespoon of cinnamon to the apples for extra flavor. Also, I added the sauce to the apples before I put on the lattice top. This helped to get all the filling coated. Last, I sprinked the top with a little cinnamon and sugar mixture. Great recipe...thanks for sharing.

Banana Sour Cream Bread

I've made this bread too many times to count and turns out perfect every time. For me, it makes enough for 2 regular size loaf pans and 1 bundt cake. Excellent recipe thanks for sharing!

Brunch Enchiladas

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2009
These turned out good and had great flavor. However, the tops of my tortilla's were crunchy and overcooked. Next time I will keep them covered for the first 45 minutes or so and then uncover when I go to put the cheese on. Other than that it's a great recipe and will for sure make these again. Thanks for sharing!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2008
I made this recipe for the second time last night and again it turned out perfect and was SOOO delicious! I like this better than the traditional type since there are no bones to pick out. I saw this recipe on line but since my mother in law makes great chicken and dumplings I wasn't interested in trying it (and...I've never made them before). My co-worker tried them and told me to try it that they were really easy and delicious. She was right!! I do have one tip for those whose sauce turned out a little thin. I turned my biscuits out onto my counter lightly dusted with flour turning the biscuits once. This helped make a nice thick sauce. The first time I used just the two cans of biscuits and cut into strips...however, my husband likes big dumplings and lots of them. So this time I used 3 cans and only cut them in half with a pizza cutter. For us, it still wasn't enough...so next time I'll use 4 cans. However, you need to watch them close and stir often to prevent from sticking togehter. I also, let the dumplings cook for about an hour. Thank you for the GREAT recipe...this has become a family favorite!
