One Dish Bourbon Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2011
I liked this recipe and used it as a base to start with. I like to have more sauce. I added 1 cup of stock and 3 T of bourbon, 1 tsp of ground ginger, 2 T. of brown sugar and 1 tsp of Braggs amino acids (gluten free soy sauce) Simmer as stated and at the very end add corn starch to thicken. Delicious! Thanks Penelope for this recipe.

Super Fajita Marinade

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2011
I used this recipe as a base. I used a whole lg. plastic squeeze lime, tequila, olive oil, cilantro, red pepper flakes, cumin, salt and pepper. This marinaded the venison that I had cut into strips. Sat for an hour and a half. Absolutely Amazing!!

Spanish Rice Original

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2011
We all really liked this though cook it in a non stick pan. It had a burned taste to it in the cast iron. We used green chillies instead of the green peppers. Omitted the olives and corn and added cheddar cheese. Thank you. Great recipe!

Margaritas

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2011
This was an amazing margarita using the tip from Cooper. We added a little shot bottle that was $1.25 at the liquor store (didn't want to buy a whole bottle) to the blender and it made all the difference in the world. Amazing!

Asparagus Guacamole

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2010
I made this recipe for the fact that we had asparagus in the garden and I love guacamole. I also just happened to be making my own salsa that day which I added to the recipe. I took the advice to add cream cheese. I served this for an appetizer for dinner and the kids were disgusted that we would make guac without avacado. The bowl was devoured in 30 min. Need I say that it was a hit. My boyfriend just asked me to make more.....please!!!

Clams Italiano

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2010
My boyfriend just returned from a fishing trip to B.C. He brought back a bunch of fresh clams. He had me get a recipe on our favorite site, All Recipes, and we came up with this one. OMG is all I can say. It is heavenly. I would have to agree with the other reviewer though that you could cut the butter and wine in half. I did use a homemade Chardonnay and it was delicious. And dipping your bread is a must. Kudos!!

Oysters Rockefeller

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2010
My boyfriend just returned from a fishing trip to B.C. He brought back oysters knowing how much I love seafood. But not too many as he wasn't sure if he was going to like them. Sweet as he is ...but safe. LOL!! We brought up a recipe on our favorite site...All Recipes and came up with this one. Oh was he sceptical. He let me do my thing and I followed the recipe to a T. They were super easy to open. (though my food processor was at my place. Had to use the blender and it did puree. Not to worry...still fantastic) We both decided it was a $50+ meal in some fancy restaurant. He says he will catch a lot more next time. we like the other reviewer's advice of freezing them. Thank you.

Cheesy Ranch Potato Bake

This turned out really good. I took the strong warning of another reviewer and omitted the butter. It als would be good to add bacon to this.

Roasted Vegetables

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2010
I thought this was really delicious. I had only dried herbs. I made up the dressing hours before and let it sit so the herbs would soften. I also had only potatoes, carrots and celery. I teamed this up with a crockpot apple venison recipe. Thanks for the recipe.

Sassy Shrimp Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2010
This is the best stir fry recipe that I have ever made. I follow the recipe just as it is. I do make it gluten free though and use Braggs for the soy sauce. We usually change up the vegetable to what we have on hand in the refridgerator. Thank you so much. We have made this numerous times.

Roquefort/Bleu Cheese Dressing

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2010
We give this a 3 1/2 rating. It is a little bland. We only had about 2 oz. of cream cheese left so we only put in 2 T. of milk so it wouldn't be too runny. Next time I think I will add a little more lemon juice for zip and a little more garlic. I think that it needs to sit a bit too so that all of the ingredients will blend well together. Thank you for the recipe.

Crustless Bacon and Cheese Quiche

This was a good wheat-free quiche. We substituted salmon that we had leftover in place of the bacon. We also had to cook it longer for the high altitude. Thank you for the recipe.

This recipe is absolutely delicious. I also cooked it in the oven because I am recently single again and have no BBQ grill. If you wanted to spice it up a notch add some crushed red peppers. Kudos.

Sauteed Garlic Asparagus

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2009
I love asparagus and never imagined you could sautee it. I have cooked this the way the recipe calls and then using some of the tips of reviewers. I like the advice of using the olive oil instead of butter. I added white wine near the end and I only sauteed it for 5-7 min. I do like my veges more crisp and gardenlike. I love this recipe and my boyfriend now cooks it this way in his home for his kids. Thank you for the recipe.

Spicy Red Snapper

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2009
This is a great change for fish. I think that you could pretty much use this recipe for any kind of fish and it would also be great for skinless chicken breasts. I used red wine it was all I had and I used seasoned diced tomatoes. Delicious and the smell in the kitchen was amazing. It was spicy and I loved it. Thank you so much for the recipe.
