Seared Scallops with Jalapeno Vinaigrette

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2014
This is a beautiful dish with delicious flavors (and it's incredibly fast and easy to make.) I paired mine with Thai sticky rice and seared zucchini rounds. Dinner was served in under 30 minutes. I will make this one again and again. Thank you for sharing, Chef John!!

Shredded Apple Carrot Salad

Reviewed: May 27, 2014
It's too vinegar-y for me. I used a potato peeler and made ribbons of carrot and ribbons of apple. It was beautiful in presentation but only one out of five of us actually liked it. I did sub EVOO for the safflower oil but that was the only substitution I made. :(

Best Ever Jalapeno Poppers

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2014
Spot-on PERFECT!! I followed the recipe exactly and covered them well with bread crumbs. Patience is a virtue with theses babies!! I froze them before deep frying as someone else suggested. 4 minutes in the deep fryer and they are totally awesome!! We dipped them in jalepeno raspberry sauce and had sour cream available for the more cautious!!

Hawaiian Fried Won Tons

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2014
My guests did like these, but for me they lacked panache. They turned out beautiful to look at but they need more flavor. Maybe it's the Spam, maybe trying ground pork would have the zing I was looking for. One thing for sure.... you absolutely must have a dipping sauce with them (something sweet). We used Duck Sauce. This recipe did spark me to want to try different things with won ton wrappers but next time I think I'll use a recipe off the won ton skin package insert. I'm very sorry, Rozewski :(

Creamy Dill Dipping Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2012
This was really, really bland even after I added minced garlic, garlic salt and minced onion to the mix. I made it for Christmas to dip veggies in and nobody ate it. I will try a different recipe next time. Sorry.

Amazing Sun-Dried Tomato Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2009
I make this all the time. We love it. I add some Italian seasoned chicken and fresh bread and it's a great weeknight meal. I do not use pine nuts in it because I never have them on hand. Maybe someday.....

Fettuccini Tomato Rustica II

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2009
This is definitely interesting. It felt like a fancy restaurant-style pasta but something was missing and I can't put my finger on it. Maybe it needs another kind of cheese besides the feta (although I really liked the feta in there). I will try again and tweek it.

Jen's Heavenly Egg Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2009
Delicious. Made this for my friend's baby shower. Used a cookie cutter to make white bread into hearts and piled on the egg salad. Everyone loved it. My husband is also constantly requesting this recipe. Thank you, Jen!!

Thousand Island Dressing

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2009
Absolutely perfect. Better than the most expensive store brand that they keep in the cold section. I did add the worcestershire sauce as others suggested. Thank you for saving my salad dressing budget!!

Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2008
Awsome recipe. I always make extra sauce and I add heavy cream at the end, let it thicken a bit and it turns into a creamy marsala sauce. Serve with angel hair pasta and you'll never eat chicken marsala out at a restaurant again.

Cinnamon Rolls I

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2008
Look out Cinnabon! These could put you out of business! I added extra brown sugar and a little more butter. Leave them to rise in the fridge overnight. I topped with cream cheese icing (softened cream cheese, confectioners sugar, and vanilla). Oh my God! Heaven!
