About this Cook
Anything I cook must be planned to use very little counterspace. Of course, if I run out of counterspace and something hits the floor, I have two dogs waiting anxiously to assist with the clean-up.
My favorite things to cook
Anything sweet! My grandmother gave me a big sweet tooth, passed down through my dad.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom always said if you mess up dinner, whip up a batch of chocolate chip cookies. Warm cookies will make just about anything better. (Translation if you're a kid: no, you don't get to eat only cookies for dinner if you don't like what was originally cooked. You get to deal with whatever was cooked and when your plate is clean, warm cookies are your reward.)
My cooking triumphs
I'm working on it...
My cooking tragedies
The moussaka, oh the moussaka. My husband looked at me after one bite and said "do I have to?"

Creamy Goat Cheese and Honey
Amazing and so easy! Followed the recipe closely, fresh rosemary, and made the balls bite-size to fit on a cracker. Tried with many different crackers and sliced, toasted baguette, but best in my opinion were the rosemary Triscuits that have a little salt and rosemary to them.

Grandma Ople's Apple Pie
Added 1 tsp cinnamon, dash of nutmeg, and 1 tsp vanilla. Mmm!

Quick Quiche
This is my go-to quiche recipe, since I rarely take the time to make my own crust (and I don't use store-bought ones). It is easy and yummy! I typically use smoked ham (sandwich meat) rather than bacon since I have it on hand and it is a healthier option. Always nice to be able to mix up the ingredients according to what you have on hand. I often add spinach.
