About this Cook
I'm work-at-home mother of nine home-schooled children, married for 26+ years. I started cooking when I was about 10 or 12 years old as the oldest girl on our family and farm. . We are very health conscious. My cooking has changed dramatically in the last four years as we began taking a food supplement that provides all of our nutritional needs. Our whole family is on this incredible product. Our total wellness has skyrocketed with our strong immunity systems and I recovered from a major health problem. . We no longer have cravings for sweets and junk food and the volume of food for our family meals has dramatically decreased. Satisfying our body's nutritional needs reduced the amount of "recreational" food we crave. Now I cook healthy, simple, special meals for my family and eliminate processed foods. . Due to the products that work, a home business opportunity also exists. Call 888-315-7213 to hear a brief overview. You need to know more to help make a difference & earn an income.
My favorite things to cook
Casseroles, soups, rice, pies, muffins, rolls, .... just about anything.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Dishes I grew up with and now cook for holidays only include cracker dumplings, poppy seed cake, poppy seed rolls, poppy seed kolaches, home-made noodles, mushroom corn bake, oyster stew, rhubarb pie, ..... More recent favorites include cardamom bread, roast leg of lamb, cheese-burger soup, lentil and rice dishes,
My cooking triumphs
During church fellowships and potlucks my pies are always the first to disappear.
My cooking tragedies
I had poppy seed muffins that didn't raise.

Special Occasion Stuffed Crown Pork Roast
Tried this recipe for the first crown roast I've ever made. The meat was a little dry but otherwise this turned out great. Next time we will not cook it quite so long.

Stuffed Leg of Lamb with Balsamic-Fig-Basil Sauce
This lamb turned out great. My husband made it for Christmas Day and everyone really liked it. We usually have lamb for special dinners and use more garlic. This would be the only suggestion I might try in the future.
