World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2009
Very good- did not use fennel seeds and added more cheese on top. Other than that followed recipe exactly. The sausage makes the difference that some recipes lack. Went over well with hubby and all the guests!

Holiday Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2009
I used fresh chicken breasts cooked on grill pan and seasoned with seasoning salt, garlic, and cumin. Then cut up and mixed with other ingredients. I also added grapes. Very good!

Caramel Frosting I

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2009
This recipe is what I use every time I make a caramel icing. The flavor is amazingly yummy- I only wish it was a little easier to spread so that it would look a little nicer. Overall great recipe!

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2009
I scaled this recipe down some but used 1 1b. of ground Turkey and 1 lb. of sausage. I also only added 3 cans of beans- 2 dark red kidney and 1 light red. I also added a little more hot sauce (Franks) since I did not use beans in the chili sauce. Also only used one can of tomatoes. This still made a TON of chili- filled a large crockpot. This recipe was very, very good!

Old-Fashioned Green Beans

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2009
Very Good. Used frozen green beans and let cook long enough to take the chill off before adding other ingredients and didn't need as much water. Will make again.

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2009
Good pancakes- didn't think they were CRAZY different than some of the nicer mixes. This is good if you have the time to- added a little water for a little thinner batter. Good recipe!

Broccoli Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2009
Soup was really good- would have been 5 stars if it didn't have to be "tweaked" as much. I also used 4th can of broth to mix with cornstarch instead of water. Also added some grated "real" cheese rather than adding any more processed cheese. Very good- served with buttermilk biscuits!
