My cooking triumphs
I can make a pretty mean Quiche Loraine. I first made it in high school for my french club's christmas dinner, and was asked to bring it every year thereafter. I'm pretty proud of the fact that I've never had it sink on me in the middle, and no one's ever spit it in a napkin to my knowledge. :P
My cooking tragedies
I tried to make beef gravy w/o broth the other day... turned out super bland. I've made beef au jus with chicken broth and kitchen bouquet before, so I thought it might be possible, but I was out of all forms of broth, and as it turns out... kitchen bouquet is not enough meat flavor all on it's own. :(
