My cooking triumphs
I can make a pretty mean Quiche Loraine. I first made it in high school for my french club's christmas dinner, and was asked to bring it every year thereafter. I'm pretty proud of the fact that I've never had it sink on me in the middle, and no one's ever spit it in a napkin to my knowledge. :P
My cooking tragedies
I tried to make beef gravy w/o broth the other day... turned out super bland. I've made beef au jus with chicken broth and kitchen bouquet before, so I thought it might be possible, but I was out of all forms of broth, and as it turns out... kitchen bouquet is not enough meat flavor all on it's own. :(

Baba Ghanoush
Tahini is a paste made from ground up sesame seeds... so it's seems sort of redundant and superfluous to add sesame seeds and and grind them up in the blender with the tahini already in use. Other than that, this is an okay recipe. I would probably add some chopped parsley.

Sue's Baba Ghanoush
Perfect traditional recipe! This tastes just like the baba ghanoush at my favorite lebanese restaurant, where the owners are FROM Lebanon, where Baba Ghanoush comes from. :) Only thing I'd add is maybe some chopped parsley and pine nuts to garnish!
