Five Ingredient Ice Cream

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2006
This is the BEST ice cream I've ever had. It's easy to make and tastes great. We sometimes add freeze-dried strawberries or crumbled Oreos for a different flavor.

Colleen's Slow Cooker Jambalaya

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2005
This might taste good, but it's definitely NOT jambalaya! Jambalaya is a traditional Louisiana dish in which all the ingredients are cooked mixed together, not a rice-and-gravy-type dish. Sorry!

Slow Cooker Baked Beans

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2002
This recipe is DELICIOUS! It took a few minutes a couple of times during the morning, and we had delicious baked beans with rice for our lunch. The can cannot compare! This recipe is definitely a keeper.

Rice Pudding I

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2002
This was okay, but a little bland for me. Next time, I'll likely add some brown sugar to give it more depth.

Hot Bacon Asparagus Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2002
This recipe is delicious! I served it with Easter dinner, and everyone raved about it. It took about 10 or 15 minutes to cook, although preparing the asparagus took a while for - first time dealing with fresh asparagus. Even the kids liked it, mostly because of the bacon and eggs, I think. This is a sophisticated, easy salad - would be good for company or a romantic dinner with some fresh French bread, red wine, and your honey!

Crawfish Fettuccine I

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2002
This recipe was (IS) delicious! I am a true Cajun from South Louisiana, and I served it to my family (extended, of course) on Good Friday, instead of the traditional crawfish boil. Everyone loved it! It was a little too spicy for the kids, but these kids are all under age 5 - a little less cayenne pepper would likely have made it more palatable for them. This recipe is a keeper. I will definitely make this again!

Chocolate Cheesecake IV

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2002
Although this recipe was delicious, I had to use two 9" graham cracker crusts. Since I had only purchased one, I mashed a package of graham crackers, added 6 tablespoons melted butter, and 1 oz. melted semi-sweet chocolate and pressed it into another 9" pan - this cheesecake was even richer and chocolatier!
