Soft Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2011
These are wonderful little sweet treats! Perfect amount of cinnamon! My 2 year old loves them and so do I! Only thing I'd say is, I got in a hurry on the last batch to go in the oven, forgot to press then down with a fork....not a terribly thing, but they don't spread out, so my last batch were very round, thick cookies. I will eat them....if no one else will! ;)

Snowballs II

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2010
Love these cookies! Famous as a Chirstmas cookies, I made them in July because they're my favorite. I sometimes add a dash of cinnamon the spice these up, otherwise this recipes is perfection. I just want to add a note that these aren't supposed to be light, fluffy cookies-they're dense. And scrumptious. I can't help but eating at least one with my morning cup of coffee too!

Cinnamon Syrup

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2010
This syrup is really good! My son and I ate this with french toast and I have to say, I may never eat maple syrup on french toash again! Yes, it's sweet, but what syrup isn't? I was also pleased that I could easily split the recipe in half so that I didn't have to make quite as much for just 2 of us.

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2010
AMAZING! My husband and I absolutely loved these! (My 2 year old did too...but we limited his intake of these because he was quite messy with them!) I bought a mini muffin pan just to make these and I'm glad I did....they're so cute! I also agree that when using the mini muffin pan 8 minutes is the magic amount of time to bake these. Absolutely delicious....will be making these again soon!

Banana Oatmeal Cookies II

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2010
I decided to make this recipe after a long search trying to decided what to do with a few ripe bananas that I had. I thought maybe this would yield cookies that were not cake-like....but that's not the case. However, these cookies are really good! I kept mine in the refrigerator; they're delicious cold. I did use butter instead of shortening and subbed dried cranberries for the nuts. I'm glad I did because the cranberries were AWESOME. My last thought: a little peanut butter would be really good either mixed into the batter, or use peanut butter chips. That's what I'm trying next time! Thanks for the recipe!

Seven Layer Tortilla Pie

Reviewed: May 27, 2010
Holy moly! I was shocked by how much this made! I agree with other reviewers who added taco seasoning...it definetely needs that. But other than that, this is a great recipe! I love beans so this was right up my ally. :)

Banana Wheat Muffins

Reviewed: May 27, 2010
These are good! They're so easy to make! I love that they incorporate the whole wheat flour but it's not overbearing. (Enough to satisfy me, but won't bother my husband or 2 year old.) Thanks for the recipe-I will definetely be making these again!

Aunt Jewel's Chicken Dressing Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2010
I actually found this recipe to be too runny. And I had to double the amount of stuffing....However, I think this recipe could be great with some of the changes recommended in other reviews.

Very good recipe! So simply, yet delicious! I even used ground turkey and it was still good! :) Will make again, next time I'll add black olives and mushrooms!

Banana Muffins II

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2010
I had to give these muffins at 4 out of 5 because most of mine didn't bake in the middle! I made the large muffins instead of the mini muffins....so that could be one of the reasons. I ate the couple of muffins that were done through and was pleased with them! These are easy to whip up and have great banana flavor!

Fancy Fruit Pizza

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2010
I disliked the glaze. I would have enjoyed this recipe so much more without the glaze....it made the crust soggy in spots, and tasted a little odd to me. I will make this again without the glaze!

Grandma's Peach French Toast

I was not a big fan of this at all. I just didn't love the flavor and the sauce on the bottom was too thin for my liking.

sooooo...I'm not sure if I did something wrong, but I will not be making these again! The texture was wrong, and they tasted like chocolate flour. Not good!

Cinnamon Coffee Cake II

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2009
I've never made coffee cake before, but was under the impression that it would be dry, therefore you should eat it while drinking coffee. This cake was soooo moist and delicious. I got many compliments on it! One of the best cakes I've ever made. I did make 2 changes though: I left out the nuts (just personal preference) and used 2/3 oil + 1/3 applesauce. Absolutely scrumpcious!

Baked Zucchini Chips

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2009
I really loved this recipe! It's so simple, not to mention delicious and healthy! My one year old and my husband (who doesn't care for zucchini)liked it too! My only suggestion would be the thinner you slice the zucchini the better!
