I am 24 years old and am currently working on my PhD in Optics/Materials Science Enginering. I love to bake; I wanted to be a pastry chef growing up, but realized Physics might be a better career choice. I baked throughout my undergraduate to help pay for my education. I have a wonderful, loving family and fantastic friends, whom I love very much.

When Im stressed (which is often in a PhD program) I cook or bake. I have been experimenting with ethnic food recently.
My cooking triumphs
Some of the favorite recipes I have come up with are, spinach lasagna, scampi-like scallops over linguini, super moist brownies, and white almond cranberry cake.
My cooking tragedies
I cannot make meringue. It just refuses to peak for me; even while working as a professional baker I had difficulty with it.
