Peanut Butter Chews

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2003
I had to toss out the first batch and start over.. I cooked the syrup about 6 minutes instead, added some vanilla, and used tiny chips instead. In fact, everything had to be really small, in order to form these at all. After the adjustments.. it was really good. I mailed 4 batches out with other cookies for xmas.

It was good, really good, and moist. Seemed to cook faster too. The syrup made my stuffing taste so different. :) Thanks.

Butter Cookies III

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2002
This was easy to make, extremely hard to stir, and tasted like play dough. I think there must be a missing ingredient or two...

Italian Sausage and Zucchini

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2002
First time my kids ever ate zuchinni. I tried this with a smoked beef and pork sausage too, and added some cabbage cut in large chuncks, and it was great as well. Thanks!

That Addicting Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2002
Well, I thought that I knew better than the author and served this salad in less than 1 hour. No raves, but good. Then the next evening I served the remainder of it, and YOU ARE RIGHT - it takes a night in the fridge and it's perfect. Magic.. my parents loved it. My kids tolerated it.

I thought this was pretty good, not great, but my kids wouldn't touch it. They tried it, but didn't like it at all.

Chicken and Pasta Primavera

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2002
1 problem, not enough liquid to soften the carrots and broccoli. I had to add liquid and ended up with some stuck to the bottom of the pot. I made a double batch and froze 1/2 for later this week. It was very good, the kids loved it.

Salmon Tango

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2002
I replaced the butter with a Tablespoon of olive oil and used my large George Foreman grill on 400 degrees. Even my kids liked it, and they don't like fish. I added some garlic and cayenne right before grilling, as I like it spicy. yum!

Loved this soup. Kept it in a crock pot 1/2 day while my friends and I baked cookies. We all had coffee cups of wild rice soup throughout the day.

Cowboy Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2002
Sorry to say this recipe had no flavor, my kids wouldn't touch it, and it took a while to cut it all up and prepare. Now I have a large pot of mashed potatoes that I have to sift out the veggies from, and make a gravy for, so they'll eat it tomorrow. Oh well. It's pretty.

Michelle's Blonde Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2001
Excellent Recipe. I replaced one can of green chili's with a can of jalepenos instead, and it added even more spunk to this recipe. I added garlic as well.. because I love it! This was great, and it sat in my crock pot for 6 hourss on low and maintained perfectly all day. Great as a leftover too. One recommendation *** drain the beans so the slimy consistency is gone, replace liquid by using the remainder of the chicken broth(I used a whole can of fat free chicken broth), then use your blender or a fork to mash the last 2 cans before adding them in.

Pinwheel Meatloaf

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2001
This was a good tasting recipe, but needed garlic in my opinion, but I'm a garlic lover. Cut the spinach up really small or it makes the loaf hard to cut. Cover the loaf for the first 45 minutes, or it will dry and be hard on the outside. Better with some gravy too. Cindy

Healthy Turkey Loaf

Pretty good, but had to cook longer, like 40 minutes instead. Tried a 2nd one with some light bbq sauce poured across a "ditch" on the top... and wow.. that was good.

Baked Spaghetti Corn

Reviewed: May 24, 2001
The corn I used was Mexicorn, so there was no liquid in it, so I added 1/2 cup of water, and this was easy and yummy. The kids ate it up. I think I'll break the noodles smaller and add a pound of shrimp to it.
