Best Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2010
Great base recipe that you can modify to fit your tastes! I did end up adding about 4 oz. sour cream so this didn't end up dry. Topped with parmesan cheese instead of crushed chips because I didn't want the topping to be to greasy. Also, I shredded my own cheese -this is the way to go! Shredding your own is cheaper and the cheese doesn't have that nasty powder stuff on it t keep from sticking. This recipe is a keeper and I will make again.

Jif® Peanut Butter Blossoms

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2009
urned out great! We used 1/2 cup butter instead of shortening. In addition to milk chocolate kisses, we used dark chocolate kisses, peanut butter cups, and Rolo's! We froze the candy prior to baking so that the candy wouldn't melt when it was put on the cookie.

Grandma's Spaghetti Casserole

Just made this recipe, but used crused tomatoes instead of stewed. Makes for a cheesy, hearty casserole that's not too saucy! We love this for a Sunday dinner and the leftovers taste even better during the week.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2009
Average for me. I was a bit scared at how wet the batter was. Followed the recipe exactly but refrigerated the batter for an hour. These were chewy, loved by my boyfriend but I'd rather stick to my old stand by recipe-- toll house!

YUM! YUM! YUM! This recipe is a keeper. Made to a "T" and added the suggested glaze of 3T ketchup, 1T honey and 1/2t worchestershire. Baked in 6 mini loaves and served with mashed potatoes. We loved it. Thanks!

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2009
YUM. Made this for a party and everyone LOVED it. Like most, I made a few modifications: I substituted a 12 oz. can of chicken broth for beer. I used 3 packets of Sazon seasoning (found in the ethnic foods section) instead of taco seasoning. I used frozen chicken breasts and cooked on low for 10 hours. The chicken was moist and flavorful. Will definitely make again. Thanks!

LOVE these. Way better than warming pre-packaged shells in the oven. I like to season with Lawry's seasoning salt.

Garlic Chicken

Absolutely amazing. To make it easier, I used garlic powder and for bread crumbs, I crushed 1/4c of garlic cheese croutons. Followed the rest of the recipe exactly and was very happy with the result. Will make again.

Made this with garlic salt, omitted the lemon juice, and sprinkled paprika and parmasan cheese on top. Very tasty!

These tasted great. DO NOT put the biscuits back into the oven after brushing the butter or they will end up dry.

Mexican Pizza II

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2009
Good recipe! I did a layer of refried beans and a layer of seasoned ground beef on the bottom tortilla. I added a layer of picante sauce, cheese, and tomatos to the top tortilla. We were looking for something equivalant to the Taco Bell mexican pizzas and these came out much better! Thanks!

Apple Crumble Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2009
This recipe couldn't have been easier! I used 3 large granny smith apples. I did as other reviewers did and used 1/4c white and 1/4c brown sugar and 1/4c flour and coated the apples instead of springkling/layering on top. For the crumb topping, I added an extra tablespoon butter and ommitted the sugar. I sprinkled a dash of sugar and a dash of cinnamon over the top before popping it in the oven. Baked at 350 for 1h 15m. Sooooo good!

Chocolate Coated Peanut Butter Crackers

These cookies are great! They are favorites at Christmas time. Some tips: make sure to shake all excess chocolate off and cool on wax paper on a FLAT surface preferably in a refrigerator. I love these and would eat them all the time if it wouldn't adversely affect my waistline ;)

Puppy Chow

I added 1/4 cup butter to this recipe which is what I think you're supposed to do. Made this last night with that modification... If you like a more "peanut buttery" taste I would advise adding an extra 1/4 cup peanut butter as well. That being said... this is great comfort food.

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2008
These were SOOO good... and I thought for sure that they wouldn't turn out. We didn't have EGGS OR MILK on hand (I obviously need to go grocery shopping) so I had to use egg beaters and condensed milk. The result was a fluffy, tasty pancake, better than any mix I've ever had and even better (in my opinion) than IHOP'S!

Chili Cheese Dip III

Love this dip and its great for get-togethers! I usually put mine in the oven at 250 for ten minutes or until the cheese is melted and the chili starts to bubble. I also use mozzarealla shredded cheese and serve with Frito's big scoops. There's never any left by the end of the night!

WOW... made this for a UFC party and got rave reviews. The boys especially liked the sausage. Gives it something extra! I used two 10-oz. cans of the mild Rotel. Served with Frito's big scoops and there was none left at the end of the night. Will make again!

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2008
This recipe was just ok for me. The sauce was very thick and I kept having to add milk to thin it out. It thickened even more after I put it on the pasta. Maybe I did something wrong... I'll have to try again.
