Fast and Friendly Meatballs

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2011
Five stars for a blissfully simple basic recipe! I was blown away at how easy, quick and tasty these are! I'm sure it would be fantastic as it is. However, the 5 stars are based on using plain bread crumbs with some garlic powder, oregano, and parsley to taste. I figured it would be pretty similar. Instead of flipping 5 min toward the end, I flipped halfway through. They came out juicy and flavourful, with a lovely texture that had just the right amount of crispness on the outside. I will definitely make these again!

Best Brownies

Holy crow! Halved the recipe and didn't frost. Made them in a muffin pan and they're phenomenal. Moist, sweet, and fudgy. Outsides crisped nicely, just enough to make them really chewy!

Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2011
Recipe was great. Nice balance between chewy and crispy. It was, however, a bit too sweet for me. This was with unsalted and unsweetened peanut butter though. Still fabulous and ridiculously simple. I can't wait to cook up the rest of the dough!

Insanely Easy Vegetarian Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2009
I added an extra can of kidney beans, some black beans, and cut back the cumin. Also added more chili powder (I like about 20 tsps), some more garlic, and a couple bay leaves. Great recipe, will be making this a lot in the future.

Roasted and Curried Butternut Squash Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2009
Followed the recipe exactly, but felt that there were too many other flavors overpowering the squash. In the future, I'd cut back on garlic and onion, and leave out the cinnamon, nutmeg, and sugar.
