Tom Ka Gai (Coconut Chicken Soup)

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2010
I took the advice of a reader and used some chicken broth. I also added mushrooms since I've had it that way in a resturant, it was amazing.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2010
One word AMAZING! I found that 8 apples were too much like many of the reviews said, I used 5 apples and it was plenty. Also, I found that the recipe just said to let the ingredients simmer and with the first pie I made I didn't simmer them long enough. The 2nd pie I made I let the ingredients thicken and it was prefect when lathering the lattice. The pie was so good I even had someone ask how much I would charge them to make one at a later date. I did make my own crust so that added to the freshness of the pie.

Slow Cooker Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2009
OK, so I messed up the recipe from the get go but it was still awesome!! I boiled the potatoes with just salt on accident but when putting it together I only added the chicken bouillon not all of it (only 1/3) and the garlic. Everything else I did as is and it came out perfect. I made it for Christmas Eve dinner and I got so many "yumms" at the table over the potatoes. I even had people call me the next day for the recipe and tell me that there is no way they could have any other mashed potatoes after these.

Florentine Artichoke Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2009
I made it exactly like the recipe and it was awesome!! The dip didn't stand a chance at my party. I served it with baguette bread.
