Made this with some tangelos picked from a friend's property. Brought the pie to a Christmas party for work and it was a hit! So smooth, not overly tart. It was a bit runny but that was probably my fault- I don't think I let the crust or the filling cool enough before putting the meringue on top. The custard filling and the meringue held together just fine but there was extra juice that sloshed about and got things a little sticky. But I forgot about that when I tasted how wonderful the pie turned out. Will be making this again!

Waffles I

Pretty good but I think there can be more flavor. I followed the recipe except that I doubled the vanilla as suggested by another reviewer. I also folded in the egg whites at the end for a fluffier waffle. I will try other recipes for a bit more flavor next time.

Secret Ingredient Pico de Gallo

This was a big hit with the family. They were scooping it by heaps on tortilla chips. It is not a typical pico flavor but it is very good and different.

Butternut and Apple Harvest Soup

I love this soup. I made the recipe just as it is written- didn't add the optional wine because I didn't have any on hand. It is such an appropriate food for autumn and apple season. Will definitely make again and accompany it this time with a good sandwich.

Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

Very tasty and easy. I give it a 4 instead of 5 for the following reasons. I had to bake them longer than what the recipe called for. Also, the recipe calls for dropping them by teaspoonfuls. After noticing that the cookies were not flattening out under the heat, I pressed a fork into them so they looked like the picture. I will do this in advance next time.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Wow! I can't believe how soft these cookies turned out. I think they might have been even better the next day after sitting overnight. Reminded me of store bought Soft Batch cookies.

Chicken with Garlic, Basil, and Parsley

My family didn't care for the flavor. And it didn't turn out as juicy as I had hoped. I would definitely suggest browning the outside of the chicken. We didn't do this and it came out looking unappealing.

Shepherd's Pie VI

Very good and versatile. I've made Shepherd Pie before that took much more time than this so the quick prep was nice. Cooked the meat with a few dashes of worcestershire and a brown gravy packet as suggested by others. I used frozen mixed veggies to get some variety- microwaved them to get them warm before adding it to the pie. Added more butter and cheese to the potatoes to get more flavor. Will make this again and go with less worcestershire but will add more pepper.
