Homemade Banana Pudding Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2008
I thought heaven had felled in my mouth when i made this pudding.iI was so good but i did change it a little.I didn't used the 2 c of whole milk.I used 1 c carnation milk 3/4 c of 2%milk and the rest in heavy cream to measure 2 c of milk.I did as other reviewer suggested in decreasing the sugar.I used 3/4 instead of 1 1/2 c of sugar.I believe i cooked the pudding on medium for the 1st 5 min and then decrease the temp to low for the rest of the 10 min whisking frequently in the 15 minutes.Adding cornstarch at the end to thickened it up.And then however i let the pudding refrigerate for 1hr 30 min.Once it firmed up i took it out of the frig. Layer my pan with vanilla waffer add the banana in then the pudding. And i continue that untill it reach the top, i didn't do a meringue topping i just place crushed vanilla waffer on top. This was my first attempt at making an homeade banana pudding becasuse i always opted for the easy instant jello way out.But i'm through with instant pudding mix this will be my one and only banana pudding recipe. Thanks a million for such a delish pudding.Yummy Yummy

Grandma's Sour Cream Pound Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2008
This is a delicious yet moist and flavorful cake.I did beat the sugar and butter untill fluffy.I beat each egg for 1 minute i add 1 1/2 tsp of vaniila extract 1 tsp of vanilla nut extract,1 tsp of lemaon extract and 1 tsp of coconut extract. And 1/2 tsp of almond extract. And follow the rest of the recipe how it was stated. This is a stand alone cake. That i have made over 10 or more times for alot of people.I tried it with mace and prefer not to used the mace.I just used different extract and it's alway a wnner. Thanks Grandma. For a simply icing you can used 2 cups confectioner sugar 1/4 cream cheese 2 tsp of milk 1 tsp of melted butter and just whipped to your desired thickness adding more powder sugar or more milk.

Corn Dogs

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2008
These are some delicious hot dogs.I did cooked them for 6 minutes but i didn't really let them cool properly i dip them in a cornstarch flour mixture so the batter would stick on them. But that didn't really work and maybe that is because my hotdogs was not cool enough so i just rolled the corndog batter into the rest of the cornstarch mixture.I did add honey to the batter.I'ts my own fault i just couldn't wait untill they cool but they where still good next time i will be patient. In let the hotdog rest at least 10 minutes before i start my dipping of the batter.
