Italian Cream Cheese and Ricotta Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2010
It wasn't pretty, but it tasted darn good! Followed the recipe exactly and did water bath and it still cracked, but that doesn't matter because it was the best cheesecake ever! Served with cherry pie filling and cool whip and got lots of compliments. Thanks for sharing a great recipe!

Chocolate Zucchini Cake III

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2010
Excellent cake! Followed others' advice and subbed some applesauce for oil, also added 1 1/2 cups choc chips, which was almost too many. A cup would have been plenty. Used 9x13 and mine was done in 40 minutes. Very moist and very good flavor. For icing, I microwaved a can of store bought icing and poured it over the cake. Thanks for the recipe!

Chicken and Corn Chili

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2010
I used black beans, regular corn and a can of diced tomatoes with green chillis. I just threw it all in the crock pot together and then shredded the chicken about 30 minutes before serving and added the corn. I was kinda worried when it was cooking because it didn't look like it had enough liquid after I shredded the chicken and it smelled kinda bad. But it was really good! We put cheese and sour cream on it. Even my picky husband liked it. Tonight we are putting the leftovers in soft tacos. Will make again.

Extreme Banana Nut Bread 'EBNB'

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2010
I halved the recipe because I only have 1 loaf pan. Added 1 tsp of cinnamon and 1 tsp of vanilla like someone else recommended. Didn't have any walnuts so omitted them. Baked about 48-50 minutes. Tasted very good. My kids, 2 and 3, loved it. Tastes even better after being refrigerated. Will make again.

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2010
This is an awesome cake! It is so easy to make and soooo yummy! I made it for my son's 2nd birthday. Used a 9x13, followed the recipe exactly, baked it 45 minutes and that was perfect. Cooled the cake for about 20 minutes, then microwaved a can of store bought icing 1 minute, stirred it really good and then poured over the cake and spread it around. When it cooled it was like the chocolate glaze on a doughnut. Everyone at the party absolutely loved this cake. They actually couldn't believe that I had made it! My children usually only eat the icing off of cakes and leave the cake part, but they ate every bite of this cake and asked for more. Every time my 2 year old took a bite, he said "MMMMMM!" Will definitely keep on making this cake! Thanks for the recipe!

Peanut Butter Fruit Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2010
I used low fat french vanilla yogurt because that is all I could find. Used 1 cup of peanut butter like other reviewers suggested. Really really yummy. Made it for my whole family and everyone raved about it. Said it was addicting! Used bananas, apples, pretzels, and graham crackers. My kids liked it too.

Cinnamon Swirl Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2010
I must have done something wrong, because it completely fell apart when I was taking it out of the pan and the bottom stuck to the pan. I used a glass loaf pan, maybe that's why. But I haven't had that trouble with any other bread I've made in that pan. The bread is really crumbly and impossible to cut. But I tasted it and the flavor is good when you get a bite with the cinnamon/sugar in it. I might try to make it again when I can concentrate better and am not worrying about my 2 and 3 year olds ripping the house apart! Bread slices much better this morning. Tastes really good. I will try this bread again!

Banana Sour Cream Bread

Really good, moist bread. Will stick with this recipe. I halved it and made 4 mini loaves and put the rest in my 9x5 loaf pan and it came out great! Really yummy!

Chili Chops

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2009
My family and I didn't really like this dish. My husband said the chili sauce didn't taste good with the pork. I don't think I'll make again because I can't even think of any suggestions to make it better.

Apple Pike

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2008
I added the extra ingredients suggested previously, and it had a pretty good flavor when warm but the texture was really not good. I cooked it almost 50 mintes and it was still like apples covered with doughey raw cake. Maybe I did something wrong, but I'm probably not going to make this again to find out.

Pecan Pie Cake I

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2008
This cake is awesome! I don't even like pecan pie that much, but I LOVE this cake. My mom, who loves pecan pie, said she likes it even better than pecan pie. I added 1 cup of chocolate chips to the filling like someone suggested previously, and that was really good! I cooked it about 10 minutes longer on the final bake time, and I think next time I will cook it even longer. It is very rich and delicious. My family has requested that I make it at least once a month!

Southern Style Banana Split Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2008
I made this cake for the 4th of July. It was really easy to make! My family went crazy over it! I put the crust in the freezer to get it really hard, and I softened the cream cheese before mixing it, so didn't have any problems spreading the cream cheese layer. Also, I put strawberries and blueberries on top instead of cherries and peanuts. This was a really delicious, addicting dessert!
