Gourmet Sweet Potato Classic

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2010
This is a Thanksgiving favorite. We have made several times and everyone loves it. I usually skip the cream and just add milk or fat free half and half to save on some fat and calories but it still tastes very rich.

Hot Apple Cider

Tasty cider. Made for Thanksgiving and brewed all afternoon in a crock pot. Made recipe as is except didn't add maple syrup. The cider was sweet enough as is. House smelled wonderful and kids loved it.

Turkey and Quinoa Meatloaf

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2010
Good flavor...would definately make again. Only change i would make is to cut the amount of salt. Mine turned out way salty, but other than that no other changes.

made exactly as recipe states. Thought recipe was ok, but don't think I would make again. I like all the individual ingredients but not sure I like them all combined.

Garbanzo Bean Chocolate Cake (Gluten Free!)

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2011
Couldn't find 19 oz can of beans so used can and a half which was about 23 oz. Next time would just stick to the 1 can (15 oz). Love that this is healthy. Hubby and kids didn't know it was made with beans or they wouldn't have touched it but the kids actually came back for seconds. I added some almond extract which some family members loved but personally would probably leave out next time. Cake was dense and chocolately and very rich. Paired extremely well with some fresh strawberries.

Donut Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2010
kids loved them. Made recipe as stated. Next time I will probably scale the recipe to 1 1/2 times. Even making mini-muffins, these turned out super tiny since there didn't seem to be enough batter to go around.

Tried the recipe exactly as written and found it to be very bland. Took suggestion of other reviews and added some basil and oregano. Also added some garlic salt and 4 beef bouillon squares. With these modifications, turned out very good and the whole family liked.
