Beth's Portobello Mushroom Burgers

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2008
These were delicious and so easy to make! I would've never thought to combine the flavors of turkey bacon and mushroom, but my oh my was it tasty! The only change I made was to put mayo on the top bun and the horseradish sauce on the bottom bun. Will be making this again much more often because it's cheap, easy, and healthy :). Thanks for the fabulous recipe!

Spicy Black Bean Potato Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2009
Simply wonderful. I made this for a bar-b-q and everyone LOVED it. Easy to put together and tastes very fresh, unique, and most of all- DELICIOUS! The only thing I will change next time is cutting the jalepenos up in little tiny pieces rather than slices and maybe use less. I had a few people say the bites with the jalepeno slices were a little too spicy for them :). Awesome recipe!

Baked Soy Lemon Chops

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2009
A little too salty for me (and I do love salty foods!). Otherwise, really easy to make which is nice when you're tired and don't feel like slaving in the kitchen :). I will try this recipe again with a low sodium soy.

Famous Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2009
What a treasure of a recipe! This was absolutely delicious, my hubby and I cleaned our plates. I changed the recipe a little based on other reviews: 1/2 stick butter, plenty of garlic salt, pepper and onion powder, cooked for 30 minutes. I flattened my chicken to a 1/2 inch thickness while my husband kept his chicken breast thick, and we both agreed that mine tasted better so I definitely recommend flattening the meat. I double coated the meat, and it was crunchy and so good. Next time I will make more bread crumbs up because we ran out before I could finish double coating 2 breasts. Also, I used Town & Country crackers and they were perfect. Great recipe!

Oven-Barbecued Pork Chops

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2009
DELICIOUS! My hubby and I were licking our plates clean lol. I used the recipe for the sauce with 3 center cut pork chops. So easy and quick, yet tastes like you took a lot of time cooking. This will be added to our dinner rotation :)! Thanks for the great recipe!

Cheesy Ham and Hash Brown Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2009
We've made this recipe many times now because we LOVE it, it's easy and delicious! My 4 year old says "Mmmmh this gravy is SO good!" in regards to the casserole sauce :) We do double the ham amount, using a package of 16 ounces of chopped ham. Otherwise there's not enough meat flavor for us. Thanks for a great recipe!

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

Reviewed: May 11, 2009
So easy and sooooo yummy! I cooked a pork loin in the slow cooker on low for 8 hours, then transferred to the oven with a bottle of "Saltgrass Original BBQ Sauce" (I think this might be only sold locally though in the central Texas area). Absolutely delicious, thanks for the recipe. The beef broth was an awesome idea! I'll be cooking this again and again!

Pretty good. I used baby carrots instead to save time. I will probably up the seasoning amount next time. Thanks for the yummy recipe :).

Super Al's Cocktail Sauce

Reviewed: May 14, 2009
What an amazing little cocktail sauce! Absolutely delicious---the tang of the lemon and the sweetness of the brown sugar really give it that "something extra." This is my new go-to cocktail sauce, and what I will serve with our cocktail shrimp at dinner tonight :). Thanks for the recipe!

Gerry's Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: May 27, 2009
Not the best enchiladas I've ever eaten, but they were good and my husband and I cleaned our plates and have been eaten the leftovers for lunches. Next time I am going to use flour tortillas and add a little cream cheese to the chicken. Thanks for the recipe!

Easy Pesto

Reviewed: May 29, 2009
The recipe was ok, but the nut taste is overpowering in this dish. Neither my husband or I enjoyed this. It was decent enough to eat because we already cooked it, but we would not make it again.

Tilapia Scampi

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2010
I found the tilapia to be kind of soggy and lacking in any real flavor. My hubby ate it all up and liked it but I had a few bites and gave the rest to him because I didn't enjoy it at all. Would not make again.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2010
Perfect! Used broth instead of water, left out the onion, added cumin, seasoning salt, parsley, pepper, & poultry seasoning. Next time will only use 1 can of biscuits (not butter flavored) & low sodium broth to cut down on the salty taste.
