Butter Tarts

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2011
VERY YUMMMMMMY! The only thing I do different is I sprinkle the raisins and nuts on the bottom of every shell first (to make every one even) then spoon 1 tablespoon of the filling in each shell. They won't over flow or make a mess with that measurement. Works out perfect.

Jewish Grandma's Best Beef Brisket

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2012
Pretty tasty, very tender. With the left over broth, I let sit in a bowl in the fridge overnight. Took most of the fat off. Added 2T brown sugar, 1T dry thyme, 2T flour, 1 beer and simmered to a reduction of half the amount. Made 3 french onion soups. Topped the french onion soup with a slice of french bread and 1/2cup shredded swiss cheese. Baked at 400 for 20 minutes

Energy Bars

VERY TASTY... however I did not have all the ingredients as listed. I had no dried milk (used nothing in replace of), apricots (used dried cherries), wheat germ (used Bran Buds) no whole wheat flour (used white)

I like cilantro and I like salmon, the combination was okay but I thought it to be a waste for honey.

very yummy. I backed off by half a cup on the sugar the second time I made them. Just preference is all. The recipe is fantastic.

I always try the original recipe first and it was good, but next time I will spice up the bread crumbs and maybe even try the honey.

Chocolate Pecan Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2009
I made 1 and 1/2 recipes. I made 2 beautiful pies and did not run over the sides. I did not measure my pecans, I just placed them in a circular pattern on top of the pie. It bubbled up enough that it coated the pecans. Yummy. I also used some dark chocolate wafers that I had lying around, approx 1 cup. Again, Yummy.

EXCELLENT!!! We all loved it. I used ground chicken instead of turkey and put in 1t of salt instead of 1.5t.

BBQ NY Strip

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2011
pretty tasty, I did not know what "steak seasoning" to use as I usually Montreal Steak Spice, but I thought that might be to salty due to the Worcestershire, so I used Epicure's Montreal's Steak Rub. It was a pretty tasty marinade, would make again.

Whitechapel Shepherd's Pie

Reviewed: May 15, 2011
I thought it was pretty good, everyone ate it with no complaints but I'd have to say I am more of a gravy type sauce rather than the tomato base one.

Very good, will make again and again. Too much butter and sugar though. I'd go 3/4c and 1 cup sugar.

THE BEST.... I made a trifle and topped it with this. I did use rum instead of vanilla and ameretto instead of almond extract.

Easy Apple Coleslaw

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2010
This I think is my new and forever favorite. I did not have any green onion so I used 1/4 cup of white. I also just grabbed 2 apples from the tree outside. I as well did what another rater did, I tossed the lemon juice over the apples first to prevent them from browning.

Very good, nice taste and very juicy. Everyone ate and nibbled at seconds. I did not cook on high for the whole time, I started 3 hours on high then 6-7 on low.
