About this Cook
My name is Meagan and I live in a country cottage inspired home with my dog Fern. I find a great joy in life creating different things whether it be in the kitchen or on my sewing machine. I hope one day I am blessed enough to pursue my passion in baking full time or to be a full time homemaker!
My favorite things to cook
By far my favorite things to cook/make are all things dessert! I am constantly working with recipes to find new and healthier ways that we can enjoy our favorite treats! I love blessing others with baking and putting a smile on their face! It makes it worthwhile!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I will never forget how every Christmas morning our family would go over to my Grandparents for a huge Christmas breakfast! Even though my Grandpa is no longer with us (my heart breaks), Christmas morning will always be something I hold close to my heart!
My cooking tragedies
I will not say more than never make nanaimo bars with orange flavored chocolate chips... or try to make the filling purple... Just sayin'!

Whole Wheat, Oatmeal, and Banana Pancakes
I really enjoyed these pancakes; however, next time I make them I am going to leave out the bananas and slice them on top instead. The only change I made was I subbed unsweetened apple sauce for the oil. Thanks for the recipe, I can't wait to make these again!

Fast and Friendly Meatballs
I was craving meatball subs for the longest while but I am working very hard at trying to eat healthy. So I decided to try making the subs with turkey meatballs! I was not disappointed! I added some extra garlic powder but left the recipe as is! I used whole wheat buns, low sodium sauce and light mozza cheese - it was a great way to satisfy my craving for a not-so-healthy meal! Thanks!

Cranberry Chicken II
This is one of my favorite meals to have! You would never think that onion soup mix and french dressing would mix so well with cranberry sauce!
