About this Cook
Written by my 16 Year old self in 2006: I enjoy cooking and am good at it, I won $50 for my recipe in Better Homes and Gardens magazine this March (it was the first recipe I have ever entered in a compitition). I am a babysitter and enjoy children so I love making child friendly recipes that my pickey younger brother (14) will actually eat. That's it for now...
My favorite things to cook
I love anything that involves stove top, from stirfrys to itallian noodle dishes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Ever year my Grandma has an annual cousin cookie sale (started by me) where all the aunts/cousins get together and help her cook her wonderful oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. It was so fun to sell those cookies with the cousins. She lives in a tiny gated community in Three Arch Bay and we sold over 500 cookies last year!
My cooking triumphs
I won $50 for my recipe in Better Homes and Gardens magazine in March 2006 (it was the first recipe I have ever entered in a competition). I was 16 at the time. I haven't entered any major other compitions since then (unless you count small apartment/neighborhood/community cook offs- every competition I've ever entered I've won 1st place-- knock on wood).

Cream Corn Like No Other
So sweet and delish! Everyone I have made this for has loved it. Definitely cut the milk in half as another person recommended (so 1 cup should be 1/2 cup). I have been making this for years and am just now getting around to reviewing it. When hot it can be runny, but once it cools on your plate it thickens nicely. And honestly, you can just throw all the ingredients in at once and it seems to work out just fine (discovered that when I was in a rush making this one time)..

Baked Pork Chops I
This recipe was a little too rich/salty for my taste (and I may have even used healthy request Campbell's cream of mushroom soup. However, I did coat the pork chops pretty well and mine were not as thick as the ones in the video... I used Progresso bread crumbs (Italian Style) and chardonnay wine. The sweetness of cream corn seems to meld really well with these pork chops (I got my favorite cream corn recipe from All Recipes).

Chicken and Broccoli Alfredo
For what this recipe has in it, it's pretty good! Just a can of soup, some broccoli, a little cheese, and some chicken!?! WOW, Super easy and tasted good too! If you don't have the cheese it will still come out tasting good, it just wont be as thick or creamy of a sauce. Oh, and the pickey little brother of the family liked it too.
