Roasted Carrot Salad

Really great salad! I Know it would have been good using the original, but I added A new dimension by adding roasted parsnips with the carrots and I sprinkled the salad with a little cayenne pepper. Yum!!

Pear and Gorgonzola Cheese Pizza

What a surprise this was. Excellent, but of course I changed it up. I added carmalized onion slices, some bacon crumbles and a sprinkling of some candied jalapeño slices I had in the pantry. Will make again for sure.

A Very Popular BBQ Sauce

Absolutely fabulous BBQ Sauce. It makes a lot of wonderful sauce, but it lasts a long time! I did make it a bit hotter, but spicy and hot is our preference. Thanks for the recipe.

Old German Honey Cookies

Wonderful cookie. I had never made a cookie using this procedure. Just do it like the original and I don't believe you will be sorry. They stayed moist for a long time. These will be a tradition for me.

Excellent and Healthy Cornbread

I had my doubts about this cornbread, but WOW they were really good. I did cheat a bit when I put about a tablespoon of butter in the pan and heated it to melt and grease the pan, then poured the batter in. So they did have some fat, but not nearly as much as I normally use. This is a keeper recipe!

Absolutely Fabulous Greek/House Dressing

I found this recipe a couple of years ago, but never rated it. I made it and have done so several times. It has become a staple in our house. Very tasty, easy to put together and makes a good amount.

Dill Pickle Meatloaf

Great dish! I added about 1 Tablespoon of hot green salsa to the meat to kick it up a little. That was the only change I made. I was dubious about the pickles, but now I may ALWAYS do this.

Gyro Steak Salad (with Tzatziki dressing)

Enchilada Sauce

I had to leave out the chocolate and substitute V8 with a little added water for the chicken broth. Believe it or not, it worked. I've been meaning to try this for years and I'm so glad I did. It was excellent. Of course, I did heat it up with some cayenne and extra cumin. Want to make more soon!!!!

Orange-Ginger Fruit Dip
