Im 17 and have always enjoyed cooking. Especially since im vegetarian and its hard for me to find vegetarian/nutritious meals i decided to start making my own meals from scratch. I also love food and like making food for other people. I enjoy the reactions you get from people when something is good to them and especially when something is bad =P
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook Italian food and pasta. I also like to make deserts the most. Cookies are my favorite thing to make because they're so versatile.
My cooking triumphs
Valentines dinner year 2010 was amazing. With My mom and I we made amazing green beans with pine nut, spinach minicotti, roasted potatoes with sweet onion. We had brushetta for an appetizer and raspberry sparkling juice. And then red velvet cake from a box (cant make everything from scratch). It was a lot of work but it tasted amazing.
My cooking tragedies
I haven't really cooked long enough to have a tragedy but I did just make brownies and they were awful. That's the worst its been.

Crispy Barbequed Tofu Slices
This was very good. I made this for memorial day weekend. I have a vegetarian in the family (including myself) who loved them as well. I will definitely make them again. And i would also recommend freezing them the night before. It helps with the texture. I did manage to to burn them a little bit while i was frying them so i never broiled them but they were still amazing. =D

Pizza Without the Red Sauce
Wow! This pizza was amazing. You can taste every last thing you put on the pizza. We used publixes dough in the bakery. I wouldn't recommend using one whole sweet onion unless you have made it before and like it that way. Also 3/4 of the jalapeno is plenty enough. Other than that it smells and tastes better than any pizza i have had in my life.

Spinach Cheese Manicotti
This was the best manicotti I have ever had. My mother and I made this for valentines day dinner and she said it also was the best she ever had. It was so creamy inside and you could taste the spinach just slightly at the end of every bite. It was very very good, i would recommend cooking this for any special occasion.
