Coconut and Banana Smoothie

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2013
I will make this again and again! I really enjoyed this recipe and makes for a great meal in the morning or when I crave something sweet. The flavor isn't really all that sweet, but it is thick and creamy. I made mine with regular coconut milk, but used non-fat vanilla greek frozen yogurt instead of regular ice cream.

Bananas Foster II

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2013
Can you believe I never had Bananas Foster before? This was a first and it turned out great. I made this to go with my homemade vanilla ice cream. I followed the recipe as written but left out the rum since I don't keep it on hand.

Dark Chocolate Cake I

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2008
Perfect recipe, I made it exactly as the recipe follows. I was able to bake a 9X13 and a square 8X8 cake from the batter. I made the chocolate ganache icing for the larger cake and I dusted the other with powdered sugar, tastes just like this cake that I buy for $6.00 a slice at a nearby chocolatier.

Mexican Rice II

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2008
Wow, what a perfect recipe! I love mexican/spanish rice and living in Southern California I am spoiled by eating good rice. I attempted to make this once or twice before and it always came out tasting horrible. I decided to try one more time and the pictures submitted made it this recipe look so delicious and it is! My husband used my onion up yesterday, so I had to settle for onion and garlic powder, otherwise I followed the recipe completely.

Ashley and Whitney's Popcorn and Pretzel Sweet Snack Mix

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2014
This recipe has a creative twist with cinnamon, almonds, white chocolate, and cranberries that we really enjoyed! While I followed the recipe I used slightly healthier options such as non-GMO popcorn popped with coconut oil, raw almond in place of roasted, and I had to thin out the chocolate with a little bit of coconut oil. This was such a hit I am planning on making a huge batch to share with my graduate class as a treat!

Fried Rice Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2008
This is the second time I have made this. I never add eggs because I don't like that part, but I do sprinkle ginger powder as per someone elses advice on here and I added onions, bamboo shoots, water chesnuts, steamed broccoli, peas and carrots. I use a few tablespoons of sesame oil and about 3/4 bottle of Kikkoman soy sauce. (5 ounce bottle) I steam my jasmine rice a day prior....almost a must.

Tiger Butter II

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2008
I love Tiger Butter, I used to purchase this at Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. I do not use chunky peanut butter because the tiger butter I always bought was always smooth in taste and texture. The taste if this can vary depending on the quality of chocolate you use. I tempered my chocolate so I would not have to refrigerate.

Creamy Mango Smoothie

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2013
I bought a large container of sliced and ready to eat mango at a warehouse store and this recipe looked great. I left out the ice since I am not an icy smoothie fan, and increased the yogurt to 1/3 cup so it was a bit creamier. I am very pleased and will make again!

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2014
Excellent recipe! I tried these out for our Fourth of July dessert and served them warm with ice cream on top. I am planning on using this recipe in a few days to make brownies for a trifle recipe in place of store bought. Keep in mind these are on the thin side - perfectly fudgy without being gooey.

Easy Apple Crisp

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2008
Still a great recipe, although I used less flour and I always add more spice. I NEVER use margarine, but I used fresh butter instead. I have been meaning to pick up fresh apples for days and I never did and I really wanted to bake apple crisp, so I used a can of sliced apples I already had. Tastes fantastic topped with cinnamon, whipping cream and caramel.

Spinach Cheese Manicotti

Great recipe, no complaints. I added more garlic powder, oregano, and pepper to the recipe and I only had Muenster cheese, so that is what I used, excellent!

Campbell's® Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2012
This is a classic recipe! I remember family making this since I can remember for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I never liked it until recent years and this was my very first time making it. It turned out fantastic! I made the recipe as written but added a little extra onion and bell pepper spice.

Favorite Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2008
It is a good recipe. I am not a fan of peanut butter cookie, but I made them for my husband and he really likes them. The are soft anf chewy and the batter is light and tastes great. I left half of mine plain and the other half I melted milk chocolate in a candy bottle and drizzled chocolate on top.

Butter Icing for Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2008
Good recipe, the icing does set up quickly which is great for immediate storage. I keep a steaming pot of water nearby to rest my mixing bowl on to prevent the icing from setting up on me as well as my mixer. This is really an excellent recipe for sugar cookies. I used my pastry bag and tips to pipe it onto the cookies.

Caramel Corn Treat Bags

This was super easy to make! My daughter loved it! I followed the directions as written with exception of scaling the recipe down to 2 servings. I would highly recommend this recipe for caramel corn!

Pumpkin Blondies

I had everything on hand for this recipe so I decided to make it. It is super moist! I added some extra cinnamon and nutmeg to the recipe, but other than that I followed the recipe as written. Thanks Alex!

Pizza Primavera

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2012
The Progresso Recipe Starters Basil Sauce makes a wonderful pizza! Make sure you follow the directions and pre-bake the crust and not use more than the recommended sauce. I accidently poured too much onto the crust and it ended up a bit soggy in the middle. The pizza tasted even better then second day and the extra sauce absorbed and was no longer soggy. I opted to not use frozen veggies and made our pizza with fresh mushrooms and onion instead. I will make this again!
