Easy to make and had everything on hand. I added some garlic and onion spice and mixed everything in the pan on the stove for a few minutes before serving. I will make this again!

Healthier Absolutely the Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2012
The Cheerios and pureed kiwi was an interesting twist so I wanted to give it a try. To be honest I didn't know what to expect after I decided to make this recipe. I happen to have all the ingredients on hand, well I had Peanut Butter Cheerios and Chocolate Cheerios so I went with the Peanut Butter. The cookies didn't brown much when I took them out of the oven. I allowed them to cool and tasted and was surprised this is a fantastic cake-like cookie.

It was a little bland and needed some extra spice added to up the flavor. I didn't have rosemary, but added some thyme.

Strawberry Margarita

Reviewed: May 29, 2012
Very tasting margarita and my first time making one! I had to borrow the alcohol mix from a neighbor to make it. I will keep this in mind for any future summer parties!

Vanilla Cherry Ice Cream

Reviewed: May 28, 2012
Love the undertone of the almond, just make sure you are conservative with it as a little goes a long way. I scaled down the recipe because we don't like to eat a lot of this, it is nice for a different flavor once in a while. You could serve this with chocolate, whipped cream or crushed graham crackers too!

Easy Raspberry Punch

Reviewed: May 28, 2012
This is very easy to throw together! It is very basic, yet my favorite punch recipe...great for any party or scale the recipe down to just make enough for yourself as a treat.

Summery Strawberry Pie

Reviewed: May 24, 2012
Wow, wow, wow! This was the first time I ever made a strawberry pie. I was at the grocery and spotted a container of the strawberry glaze. I decided to try this one because it had no pictures or reviews yet. I decided to make my own graham cracker crust instead of using an store bought.

Everything in the Fridge Pasta Sauce

Reviewed: May 20, 2012
Not a bad sauce overall, I like the olive oil, sauce, cheese, and the other ingredients. It lacks seasoning, which you will likely need to add. I used a garlic infused olive oil and a garlic and onion seasoning. I left out the black olives and peppers since we were out.

Greek Salad with Spinach & Feta Chicken Sausage

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2012
Great salad with an extra kick of taste! I left out the olives since we don't like them but included everything else, even the spinach feta chicken sausage! This made for an easy and light dinner on a warm evening like today.

Peanut Butter Bars VII

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2012
I made a couple of small changes, but regardless this is a great recipe from what I tasted. I cut the recipes in half using the recipe calculator. I added the chips into the batter, but I used some cinnamon chips that I had leftover. I didn't add the icing because I just ran out of powdered sugar making cupcakes a few days ago. These bars are crumbly, so be warned about that, but the taste is amazingly delicious!

Champagne Cocktail

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2012
I wasn't sure what to expect when I made this. Considering there were no reviews, one low rating, and no photo I really wanted to give this drink a try. I prefer champagne as my drink of choice anyways. Scaling this down to two servings, I used pink lemonade which I highly recommend for better flavor as well as the pretty pink color that will appeal to your guests. It turns a frothy pink once the ice cream melts into it. I used a good quality cream vanilla ice cream and I look forward to serving this to my friends in the near future. Very creamy, smooth, and tasty!

Linguini with Roasted Vegetables and al fresco Italian Style Chicken Meatballs

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2012
This recipe is a keeper! The only major difference was I used steamed broccoli in place of roasted asparagus since I didn't have any on hand but still wanted to make this recipe for dinner. I added the steamed broccoli into the pan with the other roasted veggies. I used plain chicken meatballs since my grocer didn't carry the tomato and basil variety. I used a basil infused olive oil in this recipe. We really enjoyed it!

Truly Coconutty Cream Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2012
Overall this was a great pie. I made mine in a tart pan instead of a pie pan and only put the crust on the bottom. The crust is delicious! I used half coconut milk and half coconut cream for the mixture and still added some Lorann's Gourmet Coconut flavoring oil to it. I didn't have flaked coconut, which I will make sure I add next time I make this. I think it is needed mostly for texture than anything else. I ate a maraschino cherry with each piece. Delightfully coconutty!

Bagel Melts

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2012
I made this without the bacon (I know, major part of the sandwich, right?) because I don't eat bacon. I really liked this simple yet quick and easy to prepare bagel melt. I added some garlic powder and fresh ground black pepper on top and used an onion bagel. Seriously delicious!

Banana Cream Cheese Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2012
This reminds me of a banana split. I was originally looking for banana cream, but the strawberry with it intriqued me. I adapted the recipe since I make most things from scratch and don't keep store bought on hand. I made a homemade graham crust in my springform pan. I used one package of crackers, 1 Tablespoon + of pure vanilla, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, and 3 Tablespoons melted butter. Then, I whipped up some homemade whipped cream to replace the Cool Whip and went ahead and made the pie. I already pureed some strawberries a few days ago with strawberries and sugar, so I poured that on top, piped extra whipped cream around the edge and sprinkled some ice cream sundae nuts on top. I stored mine in the freezer for a colder, creamier pie instead of the fridge. Excellent.
