Baked Ziti with Cheese

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2014
I'm a fan of baked ziti and often find recipes that use all red sauce or all bechamel. This recipe uses a combination of both which I love. Don't skip the bread crumbs on top, it finishes this dish off with tasty perfection.

PB-n-J Cups

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2014
Simple yet so amazing! This is a fun snack to whip up. I made this recipe using natural peanut butter and raw honey in extra large baking cups so I am able to pull one out of the freezer and slice it into pieces for a family snack. I will be making this recipe again, thumbs up!

S'mores Indoors

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2014
I must give this recipe 5 stars for the use of coconut oil. It gives plain store bought graham crackers more depth. This was a fun recipe to make with my 8 year old daughter! Best indoor s'mores recipe I've tried!

Sesame Parmesan Zucchini

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2014
This recipe was okay - I ate it but my husband wouldn't because it calls for too much oil. The seasoning is excellent, love the sesame seeds. Make sure you reduce the amount of oil in half.

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2014
Excellent recipe! I tried these out for our Fourth of July dessert and served them warm with ice cream on top. I am planning on using this recipe in a few days to make brownies for a trifle recipe in place of store bought. Keep in mind these are on the thin side - perfectly fudgy without being gooey.

Peanut Butter and Banana Frozen Yogurt with Chocolate Chunks

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2014
I used a good vanilla yogurt but it was hard to get past the tang of it. I added a little more than half of a cup of natural salted peanut butter and chopped up a leftover Hershey's bunny from Easter.

Salad Smoothie

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2014
This recipe is not for everyone. I enjoy juicing and can drink just about anything. I was able to make this with everything but the cauliflower. I already juiced some beets so I used that.

Summery Afternoon Smoothie

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2014
Wow, wow, wow! This reminds me of the strawberries and cream frap my daughter sometimes orders at the coffee shop, only creamier and more smooth. This tasted more like a delicious treat than a fruit smoothie! I followed the recipe as written but used some organic mango chunks I had in the freezer. Since there is no ice in this recipe, it may be helpful to use some frozen fruit. I will be making this again and again!

Tex-Mex Turkey Chili with Black Beans, Corn and Butternut Squash

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2014
This was an easy meal with put together. If you like youe chili to be on the softer side, make sure you allow more time for it to simmer on the stove. I don't eat meat so I left out the ground turkey. I followed the recipe as written but found the sauce to be rather thick, so I added an additional 2 cups of water. The sauce is still on the thicker side, but the water helped to make it the perfect consistency. This recipe does have a bite to it with the spices, be forewarned if that is not your thing! I absolutely love the fresh butternut squash, black beans, and southwest corn! This is a recipe I will make again!

Grilled Salmon Greek Pitas

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2014
I love that this meal was fresh and easy to make. A bonus was no mess leftover on the grill to clean up afterwards. I don't eat salmon but I was able to substitute tofu in place of it. I prepared the tofu just like the salmon and it turned out great! I love that the yogurt sauce is included with the recipe!
