I think the photos speak for themselves, but here is how you can take basic frozen toaster waffles and create a gourmet breakfast for guest, a special occasion, or yourself!
1.) Frozen Waffles (I used Trader Joes Multigrain.)
2.) Chocolate (I used milk chocolate.)
3.) Fresh Homemade Whipped Cream
4.) Bananas
5.) Strawberries
6.) Cocoa Powder
7.) Pure Maple Syrup.
Begin by prepping your ingredients so you can assemble as soon as your waffles comes hot out of the toaster. I sliced my strawberry and banana and set aside. I also have my shaker of cocoa powder and whipped cream on the counter ready to go. As I put my waffle into the toaster I began to melt my milk chocolate in the microwave. I only used about 2 tablespoons of chocolate, so it melts quickly.
Dipping the back of a spoon into the melted chocolate I wiped it onto the plate as you can see in the photos for visual interest, but also to dip your banana slices into. As the waffles comes out of the toaster, I placed it just to the side of the chocolate swipe. Arrange bananas and strawberries on the plate. Take a small scoop of whipped cream and drop onto the waflle. Drizzle remaining chocolate over the waffle (I never put some under my strawberry!) and finally dust your plate with cocoa powder and serve.
It just takes a few extra minutes you can have a gourmet looking and tasty breakfast!

About Me
I am a Southern California wife and mother of one. I am a simple person that enjoys home decor, baking, and spending time with my family. You can also find me on YouTube - House of Aqua: http://www.youtube.com/user/HouseOfAqua/videos?sort=dd&flow=list&page=1&view=0
My favorite things to cook
I enjoy making a variety of ice cream, cookies, cakes, and candies. In recent years I have branched out by making new dinner recipes and found that I enjoy the challenge.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I have a daughter that loves to help me bake. We spend Christmas Eve in the kitchen making special cookies for Santa together.
My cooking triumphs
I consider tempering chocolate and making caramels a triumph. You either get it right or your wrong!
My cooking tragedies
I failed several times at trying to make fondant centers for truffles. I decided to put my candymaking book away for a while!
