I previously wrote a blog about the Pretzel M&M's asking what you guys thought about them. The blog became wildly popular which I didn't expect at all. The overall assessment from the responses is that most people do not care for the Pretzel M&M's.   Today, I finally laid eyes on… MORE

I love comfort food. I don't love the effects from comfort food, especially over a long winter. Also, in case you haven't noticed I love baking and I need to save room for that stuff.   The Healing Cabbage Soup is a great comfort food without all of the calories. It has become a new… MORE

I decided to make some Pumpkin Spice Truffles the other day after browsing through all of the truffle recipes on AllRecipes. Most of them are either cream cheese based or ganache based. I decided to try a ganache based truffle.   I whipped up my ganache using Ghiradelli Bittersweet… MORE

I haven't been inside a Bed, Bath, and Beyond in a couple of years. Today, I was on a mission as I found out that they carry the Aerolatte milk frothers in their stores. I forgot how cool Bed, Bath, and Beyond is and I was amazed by all of the kitchen gadgets and contraptions.   I took… MORE

Because it is fall now, the weather has cooled down, you can smell the faintness of smoke from someones fireplace in the air, perhaps you are raking leaves from your lawn now?   Fall is a great time of the year. I always looks forward to fall, although, living on the coast in San Diego we don't MORE

I have really been grilling up a storm lately. I enjoy grilled veggies and grilled bread the most. A great way to use up day old deli bread is to lightly butter or oil each side, spread a thin layer of pesto, and add some fresh cracked pepper or another seasoning of your choice and grill.   I MORE

Have you seen the new Pretzel M&Ms?   After months of seeing advertisements and coupons for the new Pretzel M&Ms, I finally spotted them at my local Target. Naturally being a candy lover I had to try them.   I am actually not a big fan of them. They are very crunchy. I miss those… MORE

About Me
I am a Southern California wife and mother of one. I am a simple person that enjoys home decor, baking, and spending time with my family. You can also find me on YouTube - House of Aqua: http://www.youtube.com/user/HouseOfAqua/videos?sort=dd&flow=list&page=1&view=0
My favorite things to cook
I enjoy making a variety of ice cream, cookies, cakes, and candies. In recent years I have branched out by making new dinner recipes and found that I enjoy the challenge.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I have a daughter that loves to help me bake. We spend Christmas Eve in the kitchen making special cookies for Santa together.
My cooking triumphs
I consider tempering chocolate and making caramels a triumph. You either get it right or your wrong!
My cooking tragedies
I failed several times at trying to make fondant centers for truffles. I decided to put my candymaking book away for a while!
