Veggie Pot Pie
I am a diehard meat lover and honestly I wasn't excited about trying this recipe. Wow was I surprised. This was excellent if fact I couldn't stop nibbling on it, even when it was in the fridge. Each time I tasted it I was amazed how well it turned out and how flavorful it was... This recipe is fantastic hot, warm or cold!!... I followed the recipe as is except I forgot the cauliflower at the store so subbed in broccoli which I had. I did up the cornstarch. The reviews varied from 3 - 5 TBSPS so I went with 4 TBSP. Wasn't runny at all. Oh, and, I cheated using a store bought crust. I wasn't expecting much like I said and didn't want to invest the time. Next time I will make the crust and will make smaller pies. This recipe makes tons. I made one pie and froze the leftover filling in smaller portions. One final note: I am lactose intolerant and have been searching for a recipe to satisfy my craving for comfort food....I've found it.

Spicy Orange Beef
Excellent recipe! I 1/2 the recipe but am sorry I did. I loved the result and wish I had more leftovers. The only varations I did was to use Apricot Jelly instead of the Marmalade since that was the closest thing I had in the house. When I finished with the orange peel it seemed like so much so I only ended up using half of what the recipe called for. Oh, and I didn't have Sherry so replaced it with juice from the orange. Of note, when I initally ate it I didn't notice much heat from the red pepper flakes and was thinking I should have added more... BUT... the heat was more prominent with the leftovers. I actually preferred it reheated. I definately want to try this with chicken and think it would be equally as great on meatballs.

Ruth's Grandma's Pie Crust
Excellent recipe!! I used this recipe when making a rustic style berry pie. I wanted a substainial crust so I made it thicker than a standard pie crust and it turned out perfectly. Family commented on how light the crust tasted. A no fuss five star recipe. Will continue using this one.
