Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2012
Excellent chicken wing recipe. The key is putting lots of sauce on the wings because they do soak up the sauce. I would definitely make these again and I would use other sauces and flavours such as salt & pepper, barbeque, etc.

Crab Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2012
This crab dip was a bit plain. I added a shake of cayene pepper and topped with cheese. However, my bf said he preferred it without the cheese. Really good though

Apple Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2011
I adore this recipe because it's easy and traditional. The only change I made was to decrease the amount of ginger to 1/8 tsp. I find it overpowers the pie if made as written. Other than that, delicious! It's in my cookbook for sure!

Bread Pudding II

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2011
Pretty darn good. The custard was light and fluffy and the cooking time was right on. I did reduce the sugar to about 2/3 cup because I don't like mine too sweet, but overall pretty tasty.

Grandma Ople's Apple Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2011
Good taste and everyone said they enjoyed it, but I personally didn't care for the crunchy topping on this pie. I think if I made it again I would add the liquid and then top with the crust. Other than that it was tasty and enjoyable. Also, I think I'd cook just a little longer as the bottom crust ws a bit underdone.

Shredded Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2011
I made this for thanksgiving and everybody loved it. My boyfriend does not eat brussel sprouts, but took two big scoops and finished it all. He said they weren't bitter at all. I did change it a bit as per other reviewers. I halved the sprouts and after lightly browning for a few minutes I added a few tblsp of chicken broth and covered. Total cooking time was only about 6 minutes. Fabulous and will definitely make again!

Cocktail Meatballs

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2011
I made these as suggested for a birthday party and they were gone before I knew it. A little time consuming, but so worth the effort. A hundred times better than store bought. The great part is that once the prep is done, you just leave them be. They can sit in the slow cooker on low and taste fabulous.

Garlicky Appetizer Shrimp Scampi

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2011
Easy and very tasty. I marinated mine and then grilled them on skewers. Absolutely amazing! Be sure not to overcook the shrimp. You want to pull them off before they curl completely.

Honey Mustard Grilled Chicken

My teenage kids absolutely loved this chicken. So much that I actually didn't even get a piece. But if they love it, It's a keeper!

Barbequed Pork Ribs

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2011
These ribs were very tender. Fall off the bone, but...if you're looking for a more smoky flavour, this isn't it. They are tasty, but sweet. I think next time I'll try adding liquid smoke to it.

Angie's Perfect Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2011
These are wonderful buns, but be sure to make them small enough. First time I made them I didn't divide the dough up enough and ended up with very doughy undercooked buns...my bad.

Chicken Breasts with Lime Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2011
Awesome! Family loved it! I seasoned bread crumbs with salt & pepper and added about 1 tsp honey to the sauce (it was too bitter for my liking), but other than that it was fabulous! Served it with brown rice and veggie mix. Definitely not a recipe that you'd want to serve with a heavy side dish. Although it's definitely high in fat, it's also amazing in flavour. I'll be coming back to this one!
