Berdean's Cube Steak

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2014
Very good! It made cube steak edible for me (usually choke it down because my husband likes it), and I even liked the flavor. I made the recipe just as posted. This one's a keeper!

Bourbon Glazed Carrots

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2014
I was just about to make a recipe very similar to this, but had orange peel instead of bourbon. Thought I'd try this one instead. It turned out very good. I'm not sure which one I like better. Both are great!

Chicken Bouillon Rice

Reviewed: May 7, 2014
This was quick and easy in my rice cooker. Instead of bouillon, I used Sazon Goya - mainly because it has less sodium. It's first ingredient is MSG, so I'm not sure if it was really better though. I also added some corn and peas.

Cinnamon-Sugar Popcorn

Reviewed: May 7, 2014
This was great! I doubled the recipe using half microwave popcorn and half from popcorn that I popped myself. I put it all in a large paper bag and shook it until mixed then baked as suggested. I will definitely make this again!

Chocolate Cakes with Liquid Centers

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2014
I have made this cake several times - we love it! It is easy and quick. I didn't expect it to turn out the last time that I made it because I didn't have butter and I was 2 tablespoons short of having enough stick margarine. I used 2 tablespoons of tub margarine instead. It still turned out! I always just use 2 eggs and don't mess with adding just egg yolks. Sometimes I use sugar on the baking cups, but used flour that last time. Sometimes we invert the cups and sometimes we just eat the cake out of the cups. They are great either way. I always melt the chocolate and butter/margarine in the microwave. I love this yummy, easy dessert!

Oven Brown Rice

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2012
I made this in my rice cooker using the suggested amount of liquid with the instructons. I didn't have broth, so I used bouillon cubes. As suggested by others I used olive oil instead of butter, garlic powder instead of salt, and I skipped the seasoned salt. Turned out really well, although I think I put a little too much oil in it. I plan on making it again.

I made this in my rice cooker and it turned out great! A nice change from plain rice, and still just as easy.

Simple Mexican Rice

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2011
Very good. I made this in my rice cooker and used a tablespoon of garlic powder, chili powder and cumin. I left out the onion and used tomato sauce instead of tomato paste. I also used chicken bullion instead of the chicken broth. I dissolved this in the water before mixing in all the other ingredients and starting the rice cooker.
