I have been interested in cooking and trying new recipes as long as I can remember, I love the creativity in the cooking realm. I recently was asked to cater for my Grandsons Graduation Party and for a friends 25th Wedding Anniversary. Somewhat of a new adventure for me is showing recently widowed gentelmen how to cook for themselves. This is just in the begining stages but I feel this could be a helpful avenue for those who may need the help. Any suggestions WELCOMED!!!
My favorite things to cook
Desserts, Mexican, Crockpot Recipes, Italian, Appetizers, Punch Recipes, Low-Carb and Lowfat Recipes
My favorite family cooking traditions
Kicking everybody out of the Kitchen and cooking without any interruptions, which almost never happens. I can Dream anyways. I love when we have getogethers and everybody contributes their own specialities and everybody is happy!!
My cooking triumphs
Being asked to cook appetizers for a 25th Wedding Annivary, I got alot of compliments and was asked if it was ok to give my name out. I was dead tired afterwards but it was a Wonderful well satisfied kind of a tired. I would like to do this once a month. I love the planning, buying and hands on creativeness of putting something together. Then best of all is having the customers soooo satisfied.
My cooking tragedies
Just trying something new and it bombs, I just trash it and go on. I also have to work on timing everything to be ready at the same time, example would be making fruit bouquets. This is very time consumming but oh so adorable, yet in the future I will make them the day before the event and wrap them in saran wrap.
