Coconut Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2008
3 words: TO DIE FOR. This light, yet perfectly dense and moist cake was sweet, flavorful, and extremely satisfying! Instead of 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla and almond extract, I added 3/4 teaspoon of each. The almond flavoring really compliments the coconut! Next time I make this (because I will be making this again) I will add some coconut extract, as it isn't quite "coconuty" enough for me. This bread is more like cake, but it it's delicious none-the-less. The sugar that you sprinkle on top causes the top to get perfectly slightly brown, crispy, and beautiful and is my favorite part of the bread. Thanks for the recipe! Amazing! P.S. I added half Splenda and it still turned out great, you can't even tell I used it.

German Chocolate Cake Frosting II

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2008
5 STARS. Hands down, one of the best frostings I've EVER had the pleasure of tasting. Thick, sweet, and extremely flavorful! I could just make the frosting to eat by itself it was so tasty. We frosted it on top of German chocolate cake II, and then drizzled caramel over the top, which complemented the frosting very nicely. I won't make any other German cake frosting from now on!

German Chocolate Cake II

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2008
I have no idea what anybody is talking about, with the icing not being thick enough? Our icing was the consistency of average icing, and may I add that it was one of the most tasty icings I've every out into my mouth? DE-licious! I have to say though, that this cake was not very chocolaty, so next time I will add an extra square of chocolate and some cocoa powder. We drizzled some caramel on top, so it made it look even prettier, and made it taste even better! Instead of German chocolate cake this was more like gooey caramel cake. But we didn't care, we all ate every last bite! A very moist and flavorful cake, I will definetly make this again. (Oh, and don't worry, the batter should be very puffy)Delicious, thank you for the recipe!

White Chocolate Coconut Macadamia Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2008
Outstanding! Chewy on the inside, crisp on the outside. Perfectly sweet and flavorful. The ONLY thing I would recomend doing differently is adding a bit more coconut. I would suggest making 1 3/4 - 2 inch inch balls and flattening them out a bit, then they do the rest of the work themselves! I used pecans and they turned out great. My family, friends, and I gobbled them up in 4 days. I would definetly recommend trying these!

Soft Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2008
Best peanut butter cookie recipe I've ever made! I only made half a batch to see if they were good, but now that I know I am going to make another whole batch! Very soft and chewy, and extremely flavorful. I'm bringing these into where I work tomorrow, and I'm sure they'll be a hit.

Blueberry Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2008
Excellent! My family and I all loved this. The reason I am giving it four stars was mainly because I made it wrong. The batter turned blue, and I wasn't sure whether to leave actual cream cheese chunks in the batter. Will somebody please tell me whether to beat the cream cheese in or leave it as chunks? Thanks! Oh, and the topping was excellent!

Amazing Pecan Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2008
The best coffee cake I've ever had, and that's saying a lot! This coffee cake is literately melt in your mouth, it's flavors are just to die for! I could eat this every day it's so good! The only negative to this recipe is the high fat and calorie content, but if you plan on indulging, this is definetly the thing to treat yourself to! EXCELLENT!
