Wheat Crackers

Fantastic! The only change to the recipe is to roll them as thin as possible, not 1/8".

Honey Whole Wheat Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2009
Don't add extra honey! That is, unless you like really sweet bread. The first time I added extra honey as others have suggested and it came out nice, but too sweet to go with dinner. I made it again tonight following the recipe and it had the perfect sweetness, you can still tell there's honey in it but it's not overly sweet. I recommend making it once before adding more sweetness.

Edible, but not great. I tripled the sauce and still found it quite bland.

Refried Beans Without the Refry

So easy! You don't have to chop anything because after 8 hours everything totally disintegrates when you mash it. I put in two chili peppers with seeds and didn't find the beans even mildly spicy. Next time I'll try 3. Way better than canned.

Baba Ghanoush

Excellent. I cut the eggplant in half and grilled it on the barbecue because it was too hot out to turn on the oven. I didn't measure anything, just did it to taste. It worked fine for everything except the garlic, which got much stronger after sitting in the fridge.

Black Forest Cake II

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2009
In the end all I kept from this recipe was the actual cake part, and it was great! I never make cake, and found this recipe very simple and delicious. I used fresh cherries because they were in season and got excellent feedback from everyone. TIP: Don't skip the parchment paper in the bottom of the pan! I broke one of the layers trying to get it out of a non-stick pan.
