Fried Rice Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2008
AMAZING! This tasted just like the rice you get at chinese take out places (and I didn't even use the sesame oil)! It wasn't even hard to make. I took someone's suggestion and put the rice only in a pot over high heat for about 5 minutes. Will DEFINETLY make this again! Thankyou.

Meatball Sandwich

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2008
These were great. Only changes were that I added a little more Italian seasoning and cooked in crock pot with the sauce all day on low. Served on homeade baguettes.

Apple Pumpkin Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2008
I'm sure these would be delicious as written. However, I modified the recipe to make it healthier. I used all whole wheat flour, apple sauce in place of oil, half of the sugar (and I used brown instead of white), 1 T flax+3 T water for each egg, and no streusel topping. They are so good refrigerated! Thanks!!

Yummy Honey Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2008
This was really yummy. The grilled and marinated pineapple chunks really added alot. I would reccomend marinating overnight or as long as possible as it gives the chuicken a great flavor. Thanks!

I used 2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour and the rest AP. These were nice and soft and tasted just like store bought buns. Thanks!

Simply Parmesan Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2008
This is a great quick week night dinner. I used italian bread crumbs, omitted the seasoning, and topped with pasta sauce and shredded mozarella.

Gourmet Sweet Potato Classic

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2008
This is very good. I followed the recipe to a T. The only suggestion that I have is to make sure that your potatoes are done. I used 4 very large potatoes and the baking time that the recipe stated was not nearly long enough. I ended up finishing them up in the microwave so that they were soft enough to mash, which I did with an electric mixer. Thanks, this was a great addition to our Christmas dinner.

Peppy's Pita Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2009
This was the first time that I have attempted pita bread. I will be making it like this from now on instead of buying it, since it is over priced and this way is so easy! Thanks for the recipe! Note- If you mcrowave a pita for about 30-40 seconds it will fold in half without tearing.

Crunchy Peanut Butter Balls

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2008
These taste delicious and look great, however I did not find them to be quick like the recipe states. I made two batches and each ended up taking about an hour from start to finish. I used 2.5 cups of rice krispys per batch and found that if you freeze the balls before dipping they stay together better. I stuck a tooth pick in each ball before freezing and used that to roll it around in the chocolate. Also, I would suggest not melting the chocolate all at once because by the time you get to the bottom of the bowl, the chocolate has hardened and is not easy to work with. This is easily fixed by melting half of the chocolate first and the other half later. These are one of the goodies that I am putting in christmas baskets that I am giving as gifts. Thanks for sharing the recipe :-)

Delicious Oat Bran Cereal

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2008
I accidentally put the oat bran in the pot before it was boiling, but it worked fine. It was a little but bland at first, so I added some honey. Yum! So I'll give it 5 stars with the honey.

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Bars

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2009
Yumm. This is like a giant cookie. If you are looking for a healthy granola bar, I would suggest using honey instead of corn syrup, but I followed the recipe exactly. The oats, nuts, and raisins do add nutritional value. These bars are soft and delicious. Thanks for the recipe!

Almost No Fat Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2008
Yum! This is an awesome low fat recipe! I took some other reviewer's advice and added 1 tsp. almond extract and 1 tsp. vanilla. The crust was a bit "rubbery," but I actually enjoyed the texture. Will definitely make this again. Thanks!

Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2009
I love recipes like this that don't need any changes. I used milk chocolate chips because that's what I had. I keep a large bag of these in the freeer and take out 2 at a time so they are always fresh. I look forward to trying this as a loaf, too.

Monkey Bread I

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2008
I scaled the recipe down to use one package of biscuits and serve 5. I baked it in a loaf pan and it worked very well. I prefer monkey bread over cinnamon rolls because it takes a lot less time to make. Thanks for the recipe!

Extra Easy Hummus

This was the first time I have had hummus. It is soo good! I doubled the garlic and used sesame oil instead of olive. It's a delicious dip for raw carrots, cucumber, and green pepper. I will definetly be making this again! Thanks!
