Roquefort Pear Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2008
Yum! This is my new favorite salad. I omitted the avacado and doubled everything in the dressing except for the oil and salt. Everyone loved it. Thanks so much for sharing this great recipe!

Soo good! I used dried black beans beacause that's what we had, and soaked them overnight. Followed everything else exactly. We forze some of the leftovers and will definetly be making this again. Thanks!

Apple Pumpkin Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2008
I'm sure these would be delicious as written. However, I modified the recipe to make it healthier. I used all whole wheat flour, apple sauce in place of oil, half of the sugar (and I used brown instead of white), 1 T flax+3 T water for each egg, and no streusel topping. They are so good refrigerated! Thanks!!

Followed the recipe exactly and filled them with apple pie filling and whipped cream. I made them pretty thick to speed things up. Yum!

I was dissapointed with this recipe. Maybe by expectations were too high, but I thought it was just OK. I followed the recipe exactly.

Yummy Honey Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2008
This was really yummy. The grilled and marinated pineapple chunks really added alot. I would reccomend marinating overnight or as long as possible as it gives the chuicken a great flavor. Thanks!

Poke Cake II

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2008
I used this for a white chocolate raspberry cake that I made for my mom. I used raspberry jello and made my own white chocolate flavored frosting. I also mixed some cool whip with raspberry jelly and used that for the middle layer. The jello really adds moistness to the cake, and it was delicious. I would also reccomend making your own frosting. However, using coolwhip for the middle layer is good.

Chicken Satay

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2008
I served this with the Thai Style Peanut Sauce with honey from this site. My dad said it tasted just like what he got at a restauraunt. We just cooked the marinade and chicken in a wok until it was done, because there wasn't enough time to mess with the grill. We had rice and a salad of cucumber, red onion, and lime juice as side dishes.

Spicy Chicken and Cilantro Wontons

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2008
I know that some ppl don't think that it's appropriate to review a recipe if you change it alot...but I'm still giving it 5 stars. I made these because I needed to use up some wonton wrappers, that were going to expire. It worked great, because I also had cilantro to use up. The changes I made were to use garlic salt instead of fresh (I wouldn't reccomend this because they were a little too salty), and crushed red pepper. I left out the lemon grass, ginger, chile pepper, and sesame oil. Even with so many ingredients missing, they were still very good. I doubled up the wonton wrappers on some of them, too, just so I could use them all up. Thanks!

Jumbo Breakfast Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2008
I halved the recipe and used 2c rice krisries+ 1c grape nuts instead of the cheerios and subbed milk for the water. They are good, but don't stay together that well even though they were cooled before I moved them. Maybe I didn't make them thick enough...

Nacho Cheese Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2008
This was a pretty good standard cheese sauce, nothing fancy, but it's good for whipping up some quick nachos for lunch or a snack. I forgot to add the salt.

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies III

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2008
Good cookie recipe to make with simple ingredients that I always have on hand. I made these as directed, but without the filling because I didn't have any heavy cream. They taste good with creamy peanut butter sandwiched in the middle! Thanks for the recipe.

This picco de gallo was delicious. We ended up just having it with brown rice because I was out of beans. I can't wait to try it with black beans!

Delicious Oat Bran Cereal

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2008
I accidentally put the oat bran in the pot before it was boiling, but it worked fine. It was a little but bland at first, so I added some honey. Yum! So I'll give it 5 stars with the honey.

Tzatziki Sauce II

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2008
This was good, but a little bit too minty us. I followed the recipe exactly and served it on gyros. It stored well in the fridge and the leftovers were really good to dip carrots and tortilla chips in. I also spread some on a pita with sliced tomatoes and feta...yumm!
