About this Cook
I am married to a wonderful man who shares my love for cooking. We have a beautiful daughter who has taken an interst in cooking as well.
My favorite things to cook
Healthy food. I love to make healthy dishes that we can all enjoy. I have recently started creating my own soup ideas that are low cal and low fat.
My favorite family cooking traditions
At Christmas I make up goody plates to take to the school and police department in our town. My husband and daughter always help me out and we have a good time putting all the stuff together.
My cooking triumphs
Deciding 4 years ago that I needed to take better care of myself and my family and learning how to cook with vegetables, meats and even fruits. Now we eat wonderful food that is good for us instead of ordering pizza or grabbing bag food for our meals.
My cooking tragedies
Making the crustless coconut cream pie recipe that I found on this website, lol.

Pecan Pie Bars II
I followed this recipe completely but I have to say that these were the worst pecan bars I have ever tasted. I was so dissapointed because all the reviews were so good. I don't know what happened but the taste of these is not good at all.

Oatmeal Raisin Cookies I
I loved these cookies!! I did make some changes as well. I find that if you use 1/2 cup of shortening and 1/4 cup of butter you get a cookie that is not flat and not real fat either. I also used more cinnamon about 1 1/2 tsp. Will definately make these again.

Baked Salmon II
This was a good recipe but I think the next time I make it I would cut back on the olive oil.
