I used 1 tsp cinnamon, and 1 tsp salt. Otherwise followed the recipe exactly. These are very good.

Rugelach

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2014
These were excellent. The dough is very sticky at first. Put in the fridge as directed. I broke into 4 parts and refrigerated. After rolling it out with some flour, I sprinkled sugar on one side, flipped it and added filling. Mini chips, apricot preserves and raspberry jam for each kind. Might try Nutella with chip next time. It wasn't great warm out of the oven but were great after they cooled. I got lots of compliments at the party in brought them to.

Finger Sandwich Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2014
Haven't tried these yet but Not sure how to get 1 1/2 eggs. Adjust the recipe to 18 for 1 egg or double for 3 eggs. I might try the 1 whole egg plus one yolk like someone suggested.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: May 28, 2014
Made mini muffins for my son's class. Followed recipe exactly except I added a dash of cinnamon to the batter. It made 41 mini muffins. I baked them for 10 minutes. I would make these again.

Awesome Slow Cooker Buffalo Wings

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2014
The sauce was good. It was spicy. I cooked it in the crock pot and then in the oven. They didn't crisp up but were still good. There was plenty of sauce, so no need for the extra bottle of hot sauce.

Thai Peanut Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2013
This was good. I sliced up thin cut chicken breast. I doubled the sauce. Used 6 cloves of garlic and 1 tbs ground ginger. I would use fresh ginger next time. I used 3/4 cup chunky peanut butter. I cooked the chicken with the garlic and ginger in a little olive oil in the wok. I added the peanut sauce. I also added 1 tsp garlic chili sauce for a kick. I added some water to thin the sauce and cooked till sauce looked ready. Served over angel hair pasta. It tasted like the noodles from the Chinese restaurant. Would make again.

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2012
This was excellent. Would definately make again. The only thing I changed was I left out the white pepper because I didn't have any. I also added some apple juice to the bottom of the pan. Made a great gravy with the drippings in it. Also basted the chickens as they cooked. I cooked 350 for 30 minutes per lb.

Whipped Cream Filling

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2011
This was ok. Actually better the second day. It held up nicely on my cake. I made Jenny's Black Forest cake. I did double the sugar, but it wasn't sweet enough. It needed something, not sure what. I also used a whole pouch of geletin with 2 TBS water (didn't want to waste the geletin - it was about 2 tsp in the pouch). It was easy to pipe on my cake. Might try playing with it to make it better next time.

Cherry Pie Filling

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2011
This was excellent! I cut it in half and used it with the Jenny's Black Forest Cake recipe. Not too sweet, but a perfect complement with chocolate cake! :-) Thanks. Update*** I used 1 1/2 cups cherries, 1/4 cup sugar and 1 Tbs cornstarch. It was the perfect amount to fill a 2 layer black forest cake!

Jenny's Black Forest Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2011
This is definately a keeper!!! I made my own birthday cake with this recipe. I used the Cherry Pie filling recipe on this site (cut in half) and Sweetened Whipped Cream Recipe. Used 2 cup heavy cream, 5 Tbs Confectioners Sugar and 1 tsp vanilla. The cake was moist, fluffy and really good! It tasted like a bakery cake. I will use this recipe again for the chocloate cake. I did not use liqueur b/c I don't like liqueur on my cakes. Update*** I used 1 1/2 cups cherries, 1/4 cup sugar & 1 Tbs cornstarch for the filling. Follow diections for cherry pie filling. It was the perfect amount.

Ghirardelli Crispy Crunchy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2011
They were flat on the edges and puffier in the middle. Nothing like the picture. I added 2 tbs more flour to the rest of the batter. They came out a little too thick and had a flour taste. Guess I need to play with the flour if I want to make these again. I bake a lot! There are no eggs in this recipe, so it is good for anyone making cookies for an egg allergy child. :-) I will continue on my quest for the perfect chocolate chip cookie.

Savory Glazed Meatballs

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2011
Yum! Got rave reviews. I used 2 1/2 lbs of meat and doubled the rest of the recipe (1 medium onion chopped fine). Left out the milk and baked them (so no crisco needed) I used 1 large jar of Smuckers Jelly and 2 bottles Heinz chili sauce. Heated the sauce on the stove for a few minutes to melt the jelly and then threw it in the crockpot on high for 1 hour. Then I let is sit for another 3 1/2 hours before the party. I had lots of chicken left, but no meatballs. I was really looking forward to leftovers, oh well guess everyone liked them. :-)

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2011
These were very good. I burned the 1st batch... Here's a few tips. Don't put more than one tray in the oven. Don't bake more than 8 minutes. My second tray could have been in for 7 minutes. Freeze opened peanut butter cups. If you don't have time to wait for them to cool, put in the fridge.
