About this Cook
I started cooking at 12 when my Mom started working and I love it! I have some tried and true favorites, but my family likes trying new things.
My favorite things to cook
I like making pies and cookies. I also like making stir fry and different pastas. We use what we have and sometimes try to duplicate dishes we have had at restaurants.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We always have a pretty traditional English Christmas. Standing Rib, Yorkshire Pudding, Plum Pudding with Hard sauce, Fruitcake.
My cooking triumphs
I once fed over 300 people with the help of a couple of frineds for a fundraiser. BBQ Chicken, Pit BBQ Pork, beans, rollsm etc!
My cooking tragedies
The first time I tried to make a Jello Dream Pie it did not work. I think I was 12 and my Dad said it was terrible!

Granola Bars III
Tried this recipe last night, good enough but not what I want in a granola bar. Way too sweet! I am going to try some modifications and see how that goes.

Whole Grain Waffles
Tried these this morning and sadly wasn't impressed. Read several reviews and most reviewers made some major revisions. The only substitution I made was cracked wheat for the wheat germ which I didn't have. Will make them again to be fair when I get some more wheat germ.

Spinach Brownies
Ok so we did this the lazy way. I sauteed the onion and spinach in a little olive oil and then put everything together. My son accused me of tricking him because he liked it!
